gday there.bit of a rough call on redhats having an old side.reece jenkins,kyle mclean and nick oliver dont look that old to me.most of the sides in the comps best players are the older guys who are proven over a period of time and there are the guys like you who tag along for the ride and do absolutely nothing for your club.stand up and be counted and try and become a good player yourself. colts rule

jando u seem 2 be a bit defensive of the redhats, maybe u should have stayed there. I said they had some kids, but my point was they have nobody in that middle age bracket. That is vital for any side. It looks like it's a 2-way race this year between united and barkers. Any thoughts?

i coulnt stay there after the offer i received from the colts.once a certain player left it freed up a fair bit of room in the salary cap.bit early to be narrowing it down to a two horse race i would think.can barkers win the flag with a couple of part timers opening the bowling...it remains to be seen..go colts

Who left from the colts that was getting paid jando? i know of a couple of players who left there, and a couple who are in the process. i would have to say though that they were no world beaters? Even if they did rate themselves.

Hey C mack... Tell us what you think the middle age bracket is??? I would be interested to hear about why you dont rate the RedHats looking at their side there are at least three players who are in the Leagues best 11. Two of them are 23-31 which I would call being part of the middle age bracket. Old in this league is late 30s and J Allan is still the best bat in the comp even though he is now in his early 40s.

gday guys, thanks for havin me as a fellow member. i was looking through the topics already discussed (so i can catch up with the goss) and i think the most disturbing one so far has to be 'outswinger' thinking that the redhats have at least 3 of the best eleven cricketers in the comp. What??? Pull your head in cobber, they may have 1, j allen, but 'triglet' might just be right, he is yesterdays news. and outswinger, i bet your an old hanger-on-era that struggles week in week out and probably has more influence on the bar takings than the game itself. anyway until next time, over to you richie.

did you say clint aldridge or chris tavare.its not all about batting for yourself and chasing red ink.the team thing is required in cricket

Yeah I concur with that Ando. As good as bat as Clint is he wouldnt be in my top 3.

The Best 3 in the comp in nor order would be Jamie, Andrew Brindley, Daniel Christmas with some unlucky omissions being Dean Schmidt and Glen Oliver. I dont think Clint would be ahead of that top 5. All these guys have made multiple hundreds for their respective clubs (Brindley played District 1sts). I cant recall Clint ever making a ton however I may be wrong. Dont get me wrong a damaging bat when he gets going

Massive bias there triglet. Clint would not be the best bat in the league. He may well be the best allrounder now in the league.

As Redhat said a number of players in the league have made a lot of runs in the league and are genuine bats that make big scores.

Bowls fast and has made a few this year... Thats about it.

Bowls erratically and lots of no balls. Again wouldnt be in the best 11 in the league.

jamie "my boy" allen couldn't even carry clint aldridges bags! Daniel xmas is ok when he actually plays, but he has got a "massive" head. hey outswinger, who r norths 3 players who r in the best 11 in the league? Paul Fraser rocks!

well u shold chek the stats from this year. he has bowled really well and has wickets and runs. against muckelford he had bret cole scared and knoked his stumps out of the ground.

He had Muckleford players scared??? Wow what an achievement... They are pitiful.

Lets see how they go against some quality teams.

paul fraser needs to slow down when he bowls and he might land some on the same pitch the batsman is on..going by bowling figures this year id be more scared of graeme frasers bowling.bertycole is scared of his little sister..go colts

You'se are all pretty quick to jump on the fuds arent you. Yeah our A Grade arent going so well, althought they did win 1st week, and pushed the Dirty Stinking Red Hats last round but they will come good. As for the Castlemaine Result, the United boys were played very well and deserved their points and could be considered one of th teams to beat. However as a club I doubt any other club would get over 100 to theri presentation nights, have as many quality social functions that we have with a family based theme. And may I remind you that last year our A Res, B Grade both made semi-finals and our C Grade played off against each other in a Grand Final. Not bad for a 'shit club'
And if i look at the ladders in those grades this year A res are 2nd, B Grade are top and our c grades are 2nd and 6th respectively. And our A grade arent even bottom. So stick that in your arses. I know those boys are working particularly hard and are confident of beating those colts dogs next round. As for you triglet to say Bert is scared is ridiculous. Out of form yes but not scared. Just look after your own backyard as your A res is putrid.

You have two c grade teams in last years finals yet you still play pie eaters in your A grade side - planning for the future are we.

Yourclub continues to attempt to run the league yet your club judges itself by lower grade performances - wake up and put some sauce on your pies.
you have two selectors for the rep teams yet you shouldn't even be in A grade let alone have players from your club playing

The only good thing about the fuds is nothing......... oops
Sorry when you continue to loose is a good thing
