well outswinger i cant believe it! out of your 54 posts that you have added to this forum, this is the first one where i actually agree with you. usually we get absolute dribble coming from you with pathetic opinions which no one really cares for but this time you've surprised us all, congrats!
i agree that heads must roll over the weekends heat debarcle, dick mack you need to stop hiding behind that pathetic facial hair and have a good long look in the mirror because the league you and your pathetic puppets are running is becoming a laughing stock. for a team to apparently 'not be bothered' turning up to a game coz its too hot is horrific and its time for someone to stand up and make the tough decisions for once and piss malmsbury off for good.
you know it makes sense.

Why slag me if you agree with me this time??? Are you just jealous that you support a rabble of a club and that you are embarassed that you have no neck?

And you must have a very fun life if you have gone through and added up how many times I have posted you computer freak with no cricket skills.

Forfieted. When we submitted teams on Thursday, there were players saying they could play. When the captains called up to confirm, they all said 'oh nah cant play now' so we had to forfiet. Didnt just 'not turn up' as you put it.

On the upside, our B Grade won first innings befor the other team wanted to call it off due to the heat.

i cant see how the result can stand... u cant forfeit ur a grade an leave ur b grade playin... dont think thats in the bylaws some how

Re: Castlemaine and District Cricket Association

B Grade wasnt a saturday/sunday game (it started the week earlier), so players had allready played one week.. They couldnt go up to A Grade.

Re: Castlemaine and District Cricket Association

SHAME SHAME SHAME

I'm sure Bill Jeffries would be shaking his head this morning after watching the CDca turn from bad to disgraceful under the leadership of Mr Dick Bush.

This is an ecomonic f... Up.

The Country week sham - Senior Bendigo Country week figures would not even send match details and playing times to the officials of the league - they were sent to a player because they refuse to deal with Mr Bush and his administrators ????

By Law 6.3 wzxy Part 2.55 ft states that an opposition captain who believes he is about to loose can say its too hot >>>>>>> come on Mr Bush.

By Law 6.222wxyz states if an umpire Thinks its too hot - game off and go for a swim.

Your rules and lack of decision making has caused angst amongst teams and there respective captains. The butt falls upon Mr Bush and his administrators for failing to make a hard call.

By law 6.554 zxs states that 9 teams must play a Grade, a bye is good for the competition and if the ninth team is shit they can forfeit whenever they like.

By law 6.6657 a states that the president of the league should also be president of the umpires, that way if something goes wrong no one is held accountible and the Cdca goes further into the shit. A very impressive by law Mr Bush.

By Law 6.6688 fr states limited or no one day cricket to be played, this ensures our competition remains the most backward in Australia. Something to rest your hat on Mr Bush.

Mr Bush and your Board of detroyers should call a crisis meeting, you are destroying a competition and making it unenjoyable and embarrassing. Its time for Mr Obama to step forward and Mr Dick Bush to resign....

Re: Castlemaine and District Cricket Association

Well theres alot of childish comments here is'nt there! Are you man or mouse??? Castlemaine Poofs United what is going on?? Your playing a mans game now, its a summer sport! Do you want to play cricket or badminton indoors in your too toos?

I would like to ask should the Assoc do something about faggots playing in this competition? (Except for Jonsey & Allen as they are even tough enough to play cricket in hotter conditions than this and have had a good relationship without bothering others, except for a few jealous closet poofs).
Maybe we need to start a ladies comp for some teams and captains?

Re: Castlemaine and District Cricket Association

the week country was on was bearly a day under 40 degrees and everybody was expected to play for the league.if a country week player had of not turned up for a game and used the excuse that it was too hot what happens, the league suspends them. but back at club level you dont have to play if its too hot.i think we need a castlemaine district beach cricket assosciation for hot days so everybody gets a game.

Malmsbury forfieting had nothing to do with the heat.
Come on resist, resist urself and let go of it! Ofcourse malmsbury forfeiting had everything to do with the heat!! Do you think we came down in the last Muckleford shower?

cant beleive aldridge would call a game off because of heat, that never seemed to bother him during football season where he would wear a long sleeve jumper on 30 degree plus days and never complain, maine united are cowards

this whole weekend has been a crying shame for our once proud and passionate league. the berries are an absolute joke, and should be instantly kicked out of the comp. castlemaine are the biggest bunch of pathetic sooks i have ever heard of. they are a bloody disgrace, and a bunch of cheats who took advantage of a man who wants to be a "DICKtator" by stroking his ego. at least we know that they dont have the heart to stand up in the finals (unless it is too hot for them to play in march anyway).

I just had a look at the weather forecast and it is supposed to be 40 degrees on Saturday, so sorry fellas looks like no cricket again this weekend. Get your surfboards waxed and head to the beach.

With all the complaints being aired about the extreme wheather perhaps some of you peaple out there should throw the blame were it really lies and that is with Pres Mack and his match committee if they have the power to call rounds of for wet weather and high smoke levels in the air then you would think that they have the same power for extreme heat
apparently the umpires were directed to call the game of if one captain thought it was to hot
if that was the case the whole round should have been called of
You have to remeber that it is the lower grades without umpires but they are the grades that a high number of junior players are in its there health and wellbeing that should take priority
The match committee were to week to make a decision

Re: Castlemaine and District Cricket Association

i reckon this whole heat debate is silly because cricket is a summer sport which means its going to be played in the heat. if every game was this hot would the games be called off?? i think people should just put up with it because they choose to play cricket knowing its summer and it gets hot.

Hope its nice in the water Mad swimmer

ironically Castlemaine didn't defeat Malmsbury outright this year, their courageous captain batted on for a ton and no outright. Great to see.
Respect is earned in cricket - my respect for that team is zero.
Play the game Castlemaine and stop hiding behind the rules.
At least the fudders played on the weekend, yes they lost but at least they had a go. I'm not a fan of the fudders but i respect there willingness and that of Kyneton to at least play...

i don't know if you went to school 3550, but you obviously are semi-illiterate. maybe you should proof read your posts so you don't embarrass yourself again. i am with you though on your point that this is a 'redhat' forum. lets talk about the mighty goats and our duel with the colts coming up on the weekend. this is a crunch game for both of us. the finals are calling the mighty goats, and newstead are on the march also. who will miss out? shock horror, it couldn't be the redhats could it? any thoughts anybody?

Re: Castlemaine and District Cricket Association

where is this newstead charge? they are 20 points behind the four on the ladder with two sides above them, if they were a good side would not be behind kyneton. the stead should call it a year.

Re: Castlemaine and District Cricket Association

howdy fellas.
The Bug has just recieved news of a rumour going around, that there has been a new young fast bowler amongst the newstead ranks at training.
world is he can swing the ball both ways at a sharp pace.
will be interesting to see if the rumour is true when the steaders line up against the reds this w/e. :)
if so he will be a certain starter for the country week side next year if the likes of Milsom were opening the bowling. ;)
anyone else know anything about this rumour!?

The Bug is out.
But he will be back.
To bite you when you least expect it.
:D

Re: Castlemaine and District Cricket Association

that quick bowler at newstead was troy chambers.he turned up a bit late for last weeks game.

Yes ‘flat backer’, I do drop by every now and then to see what “dribble” is being talked. And I must say that lately I have not been impressed with the level of discussion, the disrespect shown for each other, and the lack of concern to get the facts right, all hidden by anonymity. They say everyone is entitled to their opinion, but if that opinion is based on ignorance, cynicism, and a need to score cheap laughs at the expense of others, then it doesn’t count for much, does it?
I would be very happy to comment on the issue of last Saturday’s weather, and go through what the administrators, umpires, and captains were required to consider. But I’m not keen to set myself up just so that the chatroom participants can throw more insults at the people who have to make hard decisions, and who put themselves in positions of responsibility purely because they love the game of cricket and want to give something to it.
So I ask all of you to give some assurance that if I do make a comment I will not just cop a heap of insults. Disagree by all means with my view, suggest better ways of handling situations, but do so only when you are fully aware of the facts.
And a warning. If I do decide to comment, it will be pretty boring stuff. Lots of quotes from the Laws of Cricket and the CDCA Rules, and a bit of the law of negligence thrown in.
So, what say you, chatroom dribblers? Do you still want to read my comments, or do you just want to continue bagging my motives, my apparent weakness as CDCA President, and my personal grooming preferences?
I’ll check back tomorrow morning (Thursday).
Oh, and I see that the Weatherzone website (http://www.weatherzone.com.au/vic/north-central/castlemaine) is predicting a top of 41º for next Saturday (with a possible shower - if you can believe that!) – you can expect that once again umpires and captains will be required to give serious thought to whether play should commence.
Cheers, Dick
