Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

Welcome Bunter.

I will apologise to the sensitive Centrals readers who took offense to my post. I was simply trying to get a rise out of a certain individual and in the process have received word on behalf of the faithful down there that they're none too impressed. A top bunch they are, but Waisberg is doing himself no favours.

Who's Bunter Mick?

What's with that last post? Surely they're not cracking the shits UM. There's definitely a few Centrals people (other than Waisberg) on this thing trying to stir the pot. What did you do that was so offensive?

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

Mark Missen is Bunter, thserious. Our resident media guru who's turned his hand to umpiring - if I'm correct.

And yes, I was threatened by an ex-housemate that he'd never speak to me again if I continued with calling Centrals weak as piss. Can't help but laugh as I explain this one.... anyway, I'm led to believe he found himself defending me at training last night. My intentions were far from that to offend the lads down there. Would've expected him to know better....

Steady on Burger, wedding week 1 hence Sugar helped out, ANA/Union was a great second day, pretending to be an umpire this round so was a bit light on for material and had to go with the game I heard the most about. Should see a more even spread in coming weeks. On your discussion about the old quicks, Hitchy was seriously nasty on mats as he bowled the big kicking leg cutters, Humphrey was pretty quick with a gale at his back, but Con was quicker at his best. Another guy who could be sharp was Glen Holland but less so after mats disappeared.
Omega still have stock of the 17% extras too Nicholas.

Hello Mark, good to see you getting involved in the friendly (sometimes?) banter on here.. I will have to check the draw as to when we play the Ommies, hope you don't exhaust the stockpile..ha,ha!!!

also on the quicks I faced "the champ" in my first longy' game when he was prob 35'sh & he was still failry sharp then.. Would have to say me 'ol mate Keithy was the fastest I have faced in CMCA, I managed to upset him one day in a cut throat final, so he had smoke coming out of his ears & was sending down some thunderbolts that day..good fella though, was first to shake my hand/ enjoy a cold bevvy after we got the chocolates..
After having this same chat about "big quicks" with many others most current day players will say Keith or Chubba was quite daunting a few years back esp with the 2 piecer..

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

hey guys on the bowling subject, i thought con goro was quick, hitchy was good too sharp and big cutters. i have been a keen cmca follower foir many years, played against some of the best, pitt - bell, surridge - manakis, champ - george, anyway watched lots of games since hanging up the whites. best sharp bowlers over last years would be bennett east, reed west bent, schliger ana(only saw few games).
best medium bowlers may moor west/cent, jenkin east, botts mackie, donati parks.
i think the game is going fine and the best 11 of today would be just as good as best 11 a decade ago. trust me.
it would be good to see the premiership harder fought out at top level, east need to stop in their winning ways soon enough, might see a smokey push for the flag late in the year.

it would be good to see what the umpires think about these choices they get to see alot more.
the comp should do a team of the decade, see what the selection panel choose.
dont think you'd be in it johnny! think i played against you.
probably only lasted 2 balls.

mossy, dont give me out next time lbw, when i hit the cover of it. big fan though.

It sure was fun to watch him blow up when he got hit to the boundary.

Spare me Flahive. That was a confidential conversation. Didn't expect you to tell the world about it. You're a dead set idiot!
We just don't appreciate it mate. We've had enough of all the shit we cop endlessly from blokes like you the Sandy boys like Crack, LD, Marto and Dudds.

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

UM, Tanks are for toilets and showers. Council watered (minimal) prior to finals last year.
And go easy on the Centrals too! I think they may have HWCC covered.

How many did you fire Bunt?

yeahhhhh sure marrrrrrrrrrrto.. u wouldnt have seen many balls go to the boundary while u were batting unless u were at the other end. u going to be on the sidelines again drinking cans next week or are u going to pull on the whites for a change and back up your mouth?
how are the old rovers going mate.. u going to have a run this year and help out the battlers? not that u'd do much anyway.. maybe u should just stick to the sidelines like u usually do

Last time i drank cans on the sidelines was the 05/06 GF when Sandy beat WB. Don't know where you're getting your information from mate. And you want to provide any exampls of "my mouth"?

Not right now, or before Christmas anyway.

I dunno mate, but i bet if we both played for them at the same time i'd play a hell of a lot better than you! ;)

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

Really, some guys need to lighten up for f*** sake.
Everyone on this forum at some stage has been ripped into for the purpose of a rise or a laugh nothing should be taken to serious if your on here exspect to cop a wack at some stage.
I don't think anyone has gone to far just a bit of banter, if what i here is true the Central boys need to lighten up and take it in their stride but if it is really not waisberg then i say. " can the real jules waisberg please stand up"
Marto i don't know you that well but it would be good to see you hit the park and make some scores to silence a few people.
I don't know what your CMCA stats are i have heard of you, my question is do you honestly have anything to prove in this comp (only you would know)
As to bowlers one day against us Sheilger had us 4-2 and i remember he skittled someone and his mates ran up to him jumping on him and he screamed loud and threw them off as if the moon had hit and turned him into a WEARWOLVE i thought he was a spanner short of a syncrome set.
Chubbs was quick but seemed quick as he bent the 2 piece right angles.
Everyone moaned saying he should not get LBWS what a joke.
Anyway lighten up and have fun saturday.
And wayne Moss is clearly the best up in the CMCA
Ps Burger looks like a mouldy pear and struggles with the bat lol

Mr.Fantana, just there to count to six on sixty-five occassions and let the players play. Didn't get to pull the trigger once, very uneventful day.

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

How do you blokes think East Sandy will go in the VB 20/20 Cup this year?? They play Cheltenham at Jack Barker Oval next Tuesday night in their first game.

Yes big Keith was quite mad once he crossed that white line. I was in that huddle when we got the 4th wicket, and we were pumped up as anything. Mikko came to hug Keith and like the Incredible Hulk ripping off his shirt, Keith shook Mikko off like a rag doll and screamed out "don't touch me!" Definitely a bizarre moment.

But despite the legend of Keith Schleiger being friggin mad on the field, he was one of the best guys to have a beer with after the game... and he would always buy them.

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

I've been away for a while and thought i would take look to see if there was anything interesting being discussed on the site.
Other than the discussion about the fastest bowlers, the rest of it is a load of crap.
Looks like the boys from Duncan St have found out how to use a keyboard, why don't you go and ask Mr Jones if he can set up a Zebra Website, then you all can just talk s..t to each other.
Speaking of web sites, who's is the best and worst in the CMCA ?
The point of my question, what's the use of having a web site if it's not maintained properly?
In order as follows, TOP 4.
ANA, B.Uniting, Wash Ups, Brighton District.
The rest of the sites have been good at stages, but have dropped off due to whatever, its a shame that clubs cannot maintain them, get too it boys.
Even the CMCA's has dropped off considerably since Dennis has stopped, poor example for an association.
Top 5 bowlers, fastest in the last 10 to 15 years. Min 20 Games.
Schleiger, Gorra, Gardener [ Elwood ], Hitchy, Humphy.
Next 5,
Bennett, Milner, Blicky, Chubbs, Cheeks.

Go easy on the Rovers mate, they have been in consecutive GFs! you seemly are painting them all with the same brush.

I sub fielded for the twos one day at KG, while Keith was bowling (at 60% still sharp) i dropped a diving catch at backward point off his bowling....ive never had a stare down like that before

i would suggest that 5 longmuir flags by the age of 21 suggests that he doesnt have much more to prove...

i think that while not the quickest.. cheeks and chubbs are right up there as the best bowlers over the last 5 years. while u dont really want to face the quicks these lefties get u out more often

There are plenty of blokes who are fans of Mossy... particularly the ones who abuse him after he gives them out LBW or run out, yet don't get reported by him because he's too nice a bloke.

One club in particular continues to get away with murder when it comes to abusing umpires.
