shhh. Play on our net of death and then tell me that. It's madness. The ball bounces at head hight from a good length sometimes!

Morgs bowled one on off/middle ish pitched a bit full and it seamed across and bounced right up to the thigh..

that's my excuse anyway ;P

Re: Contrast swing

you want to play on our wicket early part of the season! if it gets above your ankles your lucky!

our indoors were like that, no good really. But then too bouncy isn't good for batting practice either so it's swings and roundabouts I guess.

Re: Contrast swing

haha the net of death, classic. Tis though, got hit in the stomach by Joe - luckily the fleshy bit below the ribs though or may have been off to have an x-ray.

Re: Contrast swing

I bowl with a new ball with the seam straight and the swing depends on my thumb position, making me think it's the angle the seam comes out at delivery. Holding it one way results in no swing, but it seams from time to time and holding it another way (but still with the seam straight) means it gets a bit of outswing. It's all a bit complicated really, as long as you understand what you personally have to to do to make it swing, that's enough for me!!
