happy to get a win on the board early and also to get rid of the cobwebs.Mozz and Momo batted superbly together and the concentration shown by both guys was fantastic.Momo probably threw away a ton in the end but I was rapt with his performance.Mozz I believe only went out because he got tired and tried to hit one to Corowa.Horey also batted well,Scheet Dog a half ton also and the Cheese man well what can you say.50 on debut in A grade is a great effort and justified his selection in the team.I think at selection this week we may take a bit longer than normal due to the fact that I believe everyone is available this game.Watch this space for another quality recruit in the coming weeks.

do tell gerard who is this new recruit?

Have looked at the ladder and noticed New City recieved maximum winning points and Yack only their bonus points of 1.94 points

dont agree that they should of got max points, maybe average winning points its unlikely they were going to make make 300 or 400 against there bowling attack. congrats to belvoir and joshy for there first up win against a side that is going to figure in the finals. long day for the beauty boys against the hoppers. did north or markam fix up his tab with albury titans, i thought it might of dragged on like the julian day/barunduda fiascio, come on rangers or (yanner) do the right thing and clear the bloke, 10 years service is enough isnt it?

Markham and Jules are being held by their previuos clubs for different reasons that not everyone is privy to.Markham I believe owes money and Julian is I believe owed money.Hopefully common sense prevails and he is cleared by Baranduda before next week. What a pity it would be for a young cricketer to stand out of cricket for 2 seasons.I agree about New City, they should only get average winning points for the round.Just wondering when the board convened to decide they would get max. points.Couldnt organise peabo,s hearing properly in 2 weeks and then make a decision that could prove crucial at the end of the season in less than 24 hours.

i believe markham at least got to play!!!!!!!! what information did they recieve to come to the conclusion that new city should recieve max points, and how did they get to call the game off so early "8.30 am" is the rumour, there must of been enough water on it to fill the weir. do tell buddy what is the common denominator with all the wet wickets over the last couple of years?

Big call Bender are you suggesting that Yack were worried about getting beaten by New City-Lavi-Kiewa side.
By the way Borda Collie has been involved too and I'm assuming that's who Middo meant as there are 2 answers to that one.I'm also hoping that it was a trivia question and not an accusation.

No Sweeper it wasnt an accusation just a bit of a joke that the rep players from country week last year had with a few players.Knowing Border as well as I do im sure that he would be very embarrassed about the whole situation. These are the kind of mistakes that happen when clubs are relying on volunteers to do the work and not having payed people to do the work.

how does everyone think round 1 went as a whole. Some very good wins by some sides just hope the finalists arent decided early in the season and sides start 2 stack B grade teams.Did notice the miracle man(warren Hamilton)made a ton in c grade.Maybe the knee isnt too bad after all.Hopefully for Waz and WWW he is back in B Grade before too long.

he might find it hard to regain his spot with stand in skipper blacky making runs aswell.also daisy making a well deserved ton.wazza hobbled around training and things are looking up.but it will be a week by week thing!!!!! did some teams bite more of then they can chew!!!! by putting in to many sides??? i think alot of clubs are still struggling for good numbers.poor old dederang only fielding 9 players in the second week but was able to field a full c'grade side!!!! whats the go there????

Unfortunately for us we had 11 players unavailable for round 1.Dont think we will have the same dramas again this year.Im a little puzzled as to why the C grade comp would start half way through a 2 day round in other grades.Did notice a couple of forfeits in the lower grades.I believe the association should make all clubs pay a bond when they nominate teams and if you forfeit any games you lose your bond. This would stop clubs being unrealistic with their nominations and also may be a way for the lesser skilled players to be shared around clubs. What are your thoughts there big guy

Re: Cricket Albury/wodonga (caw)

i'm not throwing mud just asking a question??? i did find it strange that c'grade started last weeknd.it should have started this weekend.the season had started earlier then normal.also i did notice a general bye on the 17th of nov.but c'garde are playing??? whats the go with that???? lets see what teams stack there c'grade side??? maybe the warriors might do it who knows??? i agree with you IHM with the forfeit bond. all clubs should put money up at the start of the season and see what happens!!!!! you will always get the case of players who refuse to play a higher grade,so they look good in the lower grade!!!! before you say any thing we do have a couple at our clubs.best of luck this week to all clubs@|

West Wodonga do look to have named a very good side and it will be a challenge for Marto and the young guys he has in his side.Obviously like most sides we have a number of players unavailable for the early games. It is good that no clubs have had to forfeit in round one.Good luck to all players this weekend and hope all cricket is played in the Spirit of The Game.My wallet will never be the winner but apparently Chubb Security will be at all Dederang games.May even try to get them on board as a sponsor.lol.

Chubb security will be at every Ranga game that Horey is playing he fits the bill nicely:D
