Re: Cricket Albury/wodonga (caw)

I see WWW have dominated Saturdays matches again. Maybe the CAW should be bringing in mandatory drug test on players

Re: Cricket Albury/wodonga (caw)

i see yack v ranga was close!!!! will that be the preview to the gf???? drug testing for players @ www it's more of a winning feeling not a ben cousins feeling!!!!! time will tell how they go. well done warriors and keep it up along with the bowling:cool:

Re: Cricket Albury/wodonga (caw)

see they have to thank a old man to get them there into a winning spot after being 3 for just bout nothing and i dont think its a preview for the gf long way to go yet

Re: Cricket Albury/wodonga (caw)

With round 1 of the Border Express Cup coming up this week, does anyone think that there will be any upsets taking place, or will all of the provincial sides from last year win through to the next round?

Baranduda would have to be a chance against Wodonga wouldnt they.
New City half a chance against Tallangatta.
The rest i reckon will be 1 sided

Definitely not a Grand Final preview. If both teams continue to play how they did on Saturday niether will even get close to a GF.The one positive to come out of the game from our perspective was the continuing improvement of Josh Warren-Marmo.Coming in at a precarious position marmo got us through to a competetive total with a polished 58.

Can't see New City beating Tallangatta, who should have too much firepower with the ball.
Wodonga should beat Baranduda, surely they aren't that bad...
Mt Beauty may surprise Lavi, with their imports crucial to the result.
Titans should be too good for Yack, who don't seem to have turned up to play yet this year.
East should smash Barny, they could even make 400 plus.
St Pats may have a touch more experience than Belvoir, but this should prove closest game of the round.
Raiders will smash Howlong
North should comfortably account for Ash Suth...sorry, Kiewa

Re: Cricket Albury/wodonga (caw)

surely baranduda cant beat wodonga imagine how good baranduda would feel if they did plz wodonga atleast show some ticker and beat them

Re: Cricket Albury/wodonga (caw)

good to c this site that started out as a bit of fun has died. there is a new one started but its called no rangas allowed cause use dont no how to use these sites without sooking.

Re: Cricket Albury/wodonga (caw)

was at 2 border express games yesterday.one thing i did notice was the difference between provincal and district sides.poor old howlong didn't have much chance against raiders.but i did notice a old howlonger there help.the other game was wodonga v baranduda.what a difference between clubs.wodonga would have had 2 guys over 21 and the rest under.they showed a lot class.on the other hand baranduda had one player under 21.not much to say about there effort.they brought a big crowd but let them down.but i did see a few of them out in there playing shirts at there second home the carriers about 2.30am.so is the border express cup taken serious by most club is the big question???

It would appear we have a very astute cricket judge within our ranks!

Forget the Knight Watchman and Silly Midson, I think The Border should start a new column called Midget Mail!

Re: Cricket Albury/wodonga (caw)

May have just been beginners luck Mr Reid, my knowledge of cricket is limited, i will say however thats its interetsing to see that the 2 teams that were promoted from district last year both won, which i think indicates that the correct teams got promoted. Will be waiting to find out if there is promotion/relegation for next season.....

Re: Cricket Albury/wodonga (caw)

i agree stonewall.there's another site which is dederang free zone and it's alot more funny.are dederang struggling is the big question???with some many good players in the side only batsman seems to fire each week???? you can tell who it is by tuesday there are talking themselves up on here!!!! so if yack v toot tootville wasn't the grand final who will it be ??? after watching baranduda on the weekend against wodonga i think there run will stop soon.the top four will be closer then many think.yack are behind but a couple of outrights always put you up there!!!! lets give it to xmas and it should be all sorted out!!!! maybe new city in the mix!!!!:D :D :D

Re: Cricket Albury/wodonga (caw)

We will get a clearer indication of where we are at after this game.
What better way to test yourself than against the in form side in the comp who is also sitting pretty on top of the ladder.
For us this week our player management skills will be tested with a few guys carrying little niggles but we wont be using that as excuse if the Rangers do beat us as you can only beat whats put in front of you.
The other interesting thing to occur this game will be Julian Day having his first game against his old side and Matty Lewin also playing against the side he coached last season.

The structure of The Border Express cup is dramatically flawed.
All prov teams get a home game apart from Mt.B and Bel.
All the association are doing is giving prizemoney to a club that doesnt need it.
Why not play 2 divisions and give some prizemoney to both divs.,

it seems to be that way doesn't ihm.how about caw think about more next time.as usaul district is put below and made out to be hopeless.caw is only looking after its back pocket and they wouldn't like prize money to go to a district side so they can improve themselves!!!!!just wondering how many imports do mt beauty have playing!!!! image them playing in district this season!!!!

i would love to be a stump mic this week at the dederang v baranaduda game.i would reckon channel 9 would have to change tapes by the 10th over. i think the rangers team will be alot different from the one they fielded on saturday.lets see how it all pans out.it may get rained out yet anyway.
