Re: Darwin & District Cricket - 2010
You might just be mistaken because you seem to be placing a whole lot of emphasis and deciding a whole lot of things based on missing one welcoming reception. That's pretty small thinking...
I don't agree with you OMGTC, but that's ok. I didn't point the finger of blame at anybody, (I know full well it's an NT Govt event), and merely mentioned that being on a training night from 5.30pm-7pm was perhaps poor timing. Fair call too from what I hear from others, (except you).
I can assure you that missing one welcoming reception drink doesn't mean what you are making it out to be. There's more support from the grassroots for first class cricket in Darwin than you think and hopefully that will manifest itself in future years. You can continue this thread if you want, but I'l opt out at this point for fear of boring everybody else!
Awesome days cricket locally yesterday and the whole season hangs in the balance until the final day of the reg season. Semi opponents and even the Club Championship won't be known until well into the last day and that's gotta be good for cricket!

How is that me being mistaken? It's nit picking crap like this that is so prevalent and does nothing for the competition or the governing body.
