Some of the stats don't reflect what is on my cricket for the awards.

Thats a joke! he made one ton and bowled pump!Carter 3 tons Pisel 2 tons or Hanna 1 ton and buck load of wickets! who selects this team is not team of the year at all! Even Plunkett from SD little less runs but more wickets and a truck load of catches!

6 Carter, Joseph F Palmerston 16 17 1 3 1 2 120 611 38.19
7 Robins, Luke J PINTS 19 19 0 1 2 1 29 18 49 101 596 31.37 1419.0
8 Gardiner, Brett S Waratah 16 18 2 1 4 0 3 128 577 36.06 1202.1
9 Burton, Ricky D Darwin 16 16 0 1 2 1 59 10 973 107 565 35.31 78.3
10 Pisel, Patrick Darwin 18 18 2 2 1 1 62 8 892 159* 554 34.63 71.4
11 Williams, Ashley N Palmerston 14 13 2 1 4 2 114* 542 49.27

13 Plunkett, Stuart Southern Districts 18 21 1 1 1 2 42 22 722 146 492 24.60 85.9

So the Team of the Year is actually just the top 12 ranking players points wise not including finals. So it isn't actually a team.

The points allocation leaves something to be desired, with comparison to the D&DCA mycricket site and the actually points as determined by JM;

1 Nick Berry Pint 1241
2 Sam Miller Tahs 1012
3 Marc Calkin N.C. 1006
4 Steven Taylor Tahs 979

Word is they couldn't find any decent players for both teams so they are running out Second XI's.
The First XI's have all flown back down south.

Sounds like you got overlooked.

Players are being picked on their availability for Strike and/or nationals.

From memory the Darwin Sharks side is (there has been some late withdrawals);

B. Gardiner - Tah
J. Flynn - Darwin
Campbell - TV
Pisel - Darwin
Thiel - Darwin
T. Ryan - Darwin -
L. Zanchetta - Darwin - Bowler
S. Brandon - Darwin - Bowler
R. Arbon - Darwin - Strike keeper
M. De Iacovo - Darwin - U19's prospect
T. Andrews - Darwin - U19's
J. Weatherald - Darwin - U19's

Top End Buffalos;

Berry
S. Lavers - PINT
G. Bell - PINT
A. Bayly - PINT
T. Bayly - Palmerston
J. Crees - Palmerston
J. Logan - PINT
A. Dale - SD - MP Bowler
M. Mullins - SD - Batsman
The rest TBC.

Both sides had 12 or 13 playres turn out for training last night

top 5 for sharks i have heard of and top 6 for buffs who the F@%K are the rest? Surly the Strike need bowlers? where are they going to come from for nationals?

Strike bowlers are likely to be Troy Ryan, Ben Reichstein, Udara Weerasinghe, Matt Hanna, Richie Hodgson (if available). They'll then look to pick a couple of bats that can do part time stuff ie one spin (someone like Greg Clarence)/one pace (Steve Taylor), the bats are almost sealed in my opinion, Bell, Gardiner, Calkin, Williams, Berry (if available) and someone like Burton/Bleakley/Giarola taking up the 6th spot. If Giarola isn't available as the keeper bat, I wouldn't be surprised if Calkin got the job.

If Kensy or Clements does alright or someone else from Alice, they'll force themselves into the equation.

Sounds like you got overlooked.

If I was even considered it would be a further sad indication of the state of Darwin cricket.

But three B graders in the sharks side, whats happening there?
And the Buffalo's side. No disrespect to Terry but he has been mainly C grade all season and only A's for the T20 and finals - and he has lost all his hair, so does that means he has lost his cricket powers as well.
Did Districts have such a bad year you had to say what their players were selected for? A. Dale Meat Pie Bowler.

NT Cricket wants to return Calder Shield to its glory days but this won't help.
