Darwin & District Cricket - 2012

If we want to have a competitive team of blokes who want to be there we need to pick blokes like Zanker. But yes, I do know them, but i wouldn't say i am mates with them. Can't say I'd go out of my way to have a beer after the game with them. From that age group though (just out of 19's) there is a few more names worth mentioning. Joel Bock? Bowls leggies and bats reasonably well from a number 8-9 spot. Also a very good fielder. Perhaps Ben Whyte? Lives in Adelaide and plays B grade for Northern Districts, he opens the batting and is a handy fielder/left arm offie. Also he is from Alice Springs so he could be your 'token' pick. Another player of interest from the younger group would be Brandon Fildes. Would have got a run in the A grade at most clubs, only didn't because the PINT stocks appeared to be quite strong. Can field quite alright and is the type of guy you want in the dressing room, also, looks like he won't be picked in the 19's due to blokes like Dylan Fuller pushing him out now that the restrictions on bowling at only one National Champs have been lifted. If picking blokes such as Bobby Wilson is the way selectors are going another guy who should be getting a look in is Ben Cooper. Currently playing for Uni down in Adelaide he has been a part of the NTIS program and even though he didn't play in Darwin this latest season he probably has earned a spot more so than Wilson.

Can you send us a link or at least copy your stats in here thanks Mong, I'm curious as to how you aren't picked in the Strike side?

Not sure what being in wheelchair has to do with no one listening to you. Hopefully you make a recover from whatever it is. I don't see how you can make an honest comment on cricket in Darwin when you haven't been involved in the competition in the last three years. If you are going on past experiences then it is wrong to do so. Along with that, throwing names around like Elliot Herd who didn't represent NT Strike and was only involved in two invitational games, which the majority were imports against Maharashtra State. The Strike also played two matches against them and from memory, no imports were involved. If you are also aware of the rules regarding the Country Championships, you'd also know that players like Short and Richardson aren't available for selection once they've played domestic cricket and mostly likely wouldn't be. On top of that, a player must be involved in the competition to get a gig, ie Ken Skewes could have been last year but now is ineligible because he hasn't played in the last two seasons.

Just from memory, can you remember the circumstances in which I got out when I played against you at TV in 2009?
