Re: Duckworth/Lewis - T20 revamp needed?
Yash, it is pointless for me to keep restating my point as we are going in circles. Whilst you may think 80 off six overs is a relatively reasonable target, in reality it is not and few teams will get close to such a target. Looking at Twenty20 games currently many sides struggle to score 60 off six overs with full fielding restrictions in place so scoring 80 runs with maybe only one over of restrictions is going to be almost impossible.
Whilst you can argue that a target of 80 is a reasonable and fair target, scoring at 13.33 runs per over with almost no field restrictions is a lot bigger ask than making 9.55 runs per over with six overs of fielding restrictions to play with.

We actually take an average score and...well, I'll talk later once we upload the entire T20 documentation...
But whatever you say, 80 runs in 6 overs is achievable...People didn't think that 350 in 50 overs was achievable but you now it is...people didn't think 200 in 20 overs was possible because they were used to seeing about 225 getting scored in a 50 over game....if you have games of such duration like 6 overs, you'll see teams scoring 80 runs in at least 5-10% of the games. Similar is the probability of 191 in 20 overs.
