Kempy was asked but unfortunately could not play due to work commitments, just looking at the team who is the keeper.

Luke Poyser is keeping and is in pretty good batting form. Really good ton he made yesterday. Scratchy early, got his eye in and exploded after tea.

280odd after being sent in is still a good knock on a big ground.

Interesting move the send in, I hear Macleod sent Eltham in as well only to be hit for 250.

There is always reasons for sending a team in but when it backfires it can hurt. To quote Ian Chappel '9 times out of 10 you win the toss and bat.....on the 10th time you think about bowling ....and bat' RUns on the board are always runs on the board.

And yes to Micky, whilst I hate Essendon I suppose now you are drafted I will show some interest when you play, well done mate. (at least its not Collingwood:D:D)

It did seem like a surprise decision. Lower Eltham at 2 for about 40, you could think it was starting to be a good decision until a great partnership by Poys and Digger. Both batted sensationally, and it is a good score considering the ground is the slowest it has been for a while. They ran plenty of threes and a four to prove it.

Does anyone know how the comp game went today. Didn't get a chance to head done. Too hungover and couldn't move.

Also would like to congratulate Mickey Still on being drafted by the mighty bombers. Good kid with a good head on his shoulders, i'm sure he'll make it. I will be buying a jumper with his number on it, if I can find one big enough.

Yeah and if they ever got there they will be on the move againm straight back down. Macleod punished sides in Money last year and look at them. Keep a lid on it champ and there is a forum for you it called Money Shield. We don't want read comments like that till it happens, till then keep tryin.

Rays Tent City have a massive sale on Jim! I'll ring them and let them know you are coming to get a red and black one!

Funniest thing I have ever heard out of your mouth DQ, just disapointed I didn't come up with it.

Well done Poyz outstanding innings last week, but still having the fieldsman putting some of the easiest catches onto the turf should just be taken at almost any level of cricket.

Digger just keeps making runs even though he is also doubling up in the veterans on a Sunday.

Well done DQ, how long did it take you to come up with that? Really that wasn't bad, even for your standards, i've got nothing for that. Tell them i'll be there on Sunday.

I haven't heard so much dribble in my life, and Tongs comes out with some good dribble on this thread. I expect something like this to come from him. Your a game off bottom, two games behind top. Get to the four, win your finals and then you can gob off on here. Until then, stay away.

does anyone know who this guy is yet? speaking to Brent last week, he wouldn't tell me his name but hinted he was an extremely good bat....

I believe you’re talking about Andrew McHugh, former Lower junior. Very good stylish bat, played at Northcote for years, played twos mainly and I believe he played subbies for a year or two until this year. Used to be a handy leggie as well but he can really bat, Brent was real impressed apparently.

I'm sure Brent was also impressed with cheesey as well, DVCA runs are the only currency in the DVCA. I hope he does well, its good to see LP going well, they took a big hit a few years ago and have bounced back stronger.

I think that if you really dig back into time that this bloke may have originally been a Lower Eltham junior. May be wrong but could've even been a cousin of the Mithens.

Re: DVCA: Barclay Shield

Is it true Riverside were forced to play on an unsafe pitch on Saturday. Poor form by umpires and opposition to make this happen. Its a shame they couldn't get the runs, a couple of truly dodgy decisions too by all reports.
