UNDER 16 v NMCA (DVCA 5/199 def NMCA 9/197)
MAN OF THE MATCH: Jack Taylor
For this 50-over match on turf, NMCA won the toss and chose to bat first and found the going difficult due to very good bowling and fielding with 3 run outs in the innings being the result. All the bowlers worked very hard on a pitch that offered little help. The most successful of the bowlers being Jack Taylor 3/17, Daniel Cocking 2/24 and D Forster 1/3.

Our innings was well paced with the winning runs coming off the last ball of the match. The innings was highlghted by aggressive running and some excellent late innings hitting which allowed the DVCA to sneak home in a tight one. Top scorers were Dylan Forster 50no Jack Taylor 50no and Steven Mitchell 44. A great team effort from every player involved, and the side was excellently led by Steven Mitchell and James Nicholson.

Very good game by all involved, but the Valley to strong. In 16's, 14's and 12's.
maybe next year NMCA ???

Lol,
I'd say "Smith Is Back" is Dayne Smith, or Niall (being a douche and using two usernames). But I don't know for sure.

Anyone like to fill me/us all in?

Maybe a word from "hows that?", seeing as he knows everything else..:D

ferguson ryder you have tickets on yourself. i have never seen a worse cricketer that thinks he is so good! mate i would start wearing a helmet full time not only just when you bat for you have the yuckest head i have ever seen. you watch out in the next few games we are up against plenty and heard they are big sledgers. you wear a helmet cause this smith boy can pack a mesan bouncer let alone the man of the moment my boy Jacky Reid!!!!!!!!!:p

Just going to throw this one out there? the three most under rated (least talked about) cricketers on this forum would have to be B.Abbatangelo, J.Reid and also T.Williams



Maybe a bit more should be said about Campbell. And Mitchy.J? well enough said when nothing is said, everyone knows he is an absolutely amazing cricketer. nothing anyone can say will take that away!

Yes i must say this bloke knows his stuff. B. Abbatangelo is an amazing cricketer can't believe he isn't spoke about. And campbell, D. Campbell yeah ? the kid is a freak!! Can't believe he hasn't yet been mentioned. Mitch Johnson is probably the best diamond valley cricketer you who don't rate him, get out!

haha i wouldn't take any of them north eltham boys mentioned above over the plenty boys mentioned. Saying that it should be a good game on the weekend though. Some more Plenty names would be J Kett, T Fothergill, A Cotter, L Smith and J Mcmahon.

The worst player in the entire DVCA is Dwayne Fowles from D-Grade, Plenty Cricket Club.

He bowls absolute tripe out the back of his hand, and can't hold a bat to save his damn life.

If there was a P-Grade i'm sure he'd be struggling in that too. He has a batting average of 1.5 (a little fortunate for Dwayne I think).

He has a bowling economy rate of 6.8 this season, I reckon my half-dead midget leprechaun brother could bowl better than that.

So Dwayne, on behalf of the entire DVCA, QUIT CRICKET.

Yeah those 3 are good cricketers, but would u take
cisek over abbatangelo
reid over johnson or
forster over cullen.
The only one i might take would be forster over cullen. but we'll see who gets the better of who on the weekend.
Don't get me wrong al 3 are good cricketers, this is just my say.

Ah never heard of the kid is he a juniour if he didnt which graduating class was he from(what was his last year of) U16

haha confidence breeds success mate, but you need to back it up with performance.
and if you are a whittlesea player 58 isnt a bad day at the office if you ask me . we will see if your full XI can score that against us.

and hey, i know im not the best looking bloke around but lets just leave that there.

maybe i will wear a helmet, against a good bowling attack . and ill tell you right now that the whittlesea attack is not .

does anyone outside of plenty rate dayne smith ? i personally havnt seen him bowl but has anyone else ?

Mate i think you're being a big hasty to rip into ferg there, the bloke has been consistent all year and is coming off the the back of a 50 not out he has also played B grade almost all year so can't be all that bad..

Mark Phelan by far the best junior bat i have seen .... in a long time. He and Mitch Johnson heads and shoulders above anyone else potential wise.
