It has dropped over the past few years. The leagues have no where near as much depth as it used to, talent wise is similar. But it is the same thing every year. The same teams going for the title. Plenty, diamo, NEW, research, monty and to some extent Riverside genaraly in the the finals at least 2 of these sides are in them. They should make A and B divisons and have a relegation/ promotion system. Becaus teams such as mernda, lower plenty and eltham loose year after year, they should b put in a league together without the traditonal stronger clubs

Agree/disagree?
myself and mill park have played in 3 grand finals in 4 years and won 2 of them. ;)

In what grade and in 14's and 16's??????

Re: DVCA Juniors

16 2's.Premiers
14 1's.Losing the Granny

all the good cricketers from those clubs that keep lossing leave to find a club that has a stronge chance of making the top four, thus the lesser club can never keep up with the clubs with money and depth through all grades and juniors.

I said the usual strong clubs, 16 2's who cares about that, but look at the top 4 in the last 3 or 4 years in all 14 and 16 a grade comps you wil consistantly find the teams that i mentioned

Re: DVCA Juniors

all this talk about finals this year and who will be in it, but what about once we are in finals. who are some key performing teams and players who have risen in past final series?

i know that simon baring is among these names, hitting two centuries in our two finals games last year against diamo and mont.

yeah simon was a class above of his 16 2's opponents. not against plenty though, still laughing at how we beat u in the last round and you guys thought u missed finals but riverside lost and all of a sudden baring makes two tonnes and u guys are premiers. :p

Dont know about the rest of you but Bretty Lewis (RV) is both the scariest and funniest bowler to face, not even he knows where it's goin somew of the time. soz bort.

and funny to watch bat, haha the calls of 'Lets Go' are funny. The kid goes at 267% all the time. Heard he also has a temper on him :p.

new topic Top 5 angry people in juniors.
brett is surely up there

Re: DVCA Juniors

there are plenty of juniors coming up throught the ranks

but unfotunately and i do not wish to sound biased but theres a bowler from diamond creek named aidan poon. i've known him for a couple of years and his bowling isnt quick but its a nice line and length.

steven mitchell from lower eltham who is a talented young batsmen and he is the back bone of lower eltham

tom gilmore of research another gun batsman

2 more dc players jayden shirreff who cna be a good player depending on his attitude and the other relative unknown in daniel rowe who is the genuine all rounder of the blue squad. tkaes wickets makes runs and generally runs the show better than the skipper.

and also from research is brandon lee who took 5 for 12 against my side and made some runs

i'm not to sure of the teal players but the diamond valley is producing some excellent young cricketers and the competition will get alot better.
