You’re kidding yourself.Maybe JIKA was better than everyone thought. Rosebank look like they could win MASH GF outright in a one dayer against the 2nd best team. And also, Bundoora Park might go bang bang into Barclay. They struggled to make finals in Jika and were in 2nd division Jika 4 years ago. Pretty embarrassing for the DVCA and goes to show it’s nothing special, just another ordinary local comp.

Can’t argue the facts, truth hurtsWell evidence says so...

Just going to put it out there clearly for you Savage, I play DVCA.....Probably not many disputes on here where Rosebank would end up on field given their standing in your comp??? Would be pretty embarrassing if the club who has competed in the past 8 grand finals in the top flight didn't perform well in our 3rd tier.
As for Bundoora Park, you said "They struggled to make finals in Jika and were in 2nd division Jika 4 years ago." A quick check of Mycricket, they won the flag in Division 2 in 17/18 , went up to Jika Shield, played in the semis in 18/19 and then 19/20 and finished on top.... So you've left out some pretty important details there... Is it beyond your comprehension that they may be just a pretty solid cricket team?
Your competition is riddled with clubs who have 1 or 2 teams only and/or no juniors, umpiring shortages, forfeits and clubs are sadly folding and leaving the competition annually. Pretty comfortable where things are at in the DVCA.
Sour grapes from you? Reckon both of those clubs would be pretty chuffed where they find themselves compared to where they have come from.
Just going to put it out there clearly for you Savage, I play DVCA.....
Glad you’ve done your research, you raise some more than valid points, kudos to you well done (also kudos for taking the bait and wasting your valued time going through 4 years of stats ).
On a serious note though, there are no sour grapes given I play in this comp but merely just throwing it out for debate as we do in a cricket forum. The new additions to OUR comp have been more than serviceable to date and have also proven the better teams in Jika make OUR competition stronger.
DVCA should be more inclined to welcome in the remaining 2 or 3 big clubs remaining in Jika and continue to grow, improve and develop the DVCA moving forward.
JIKA was a very strong competition, now it has gone downhill as clubs and good players have moved on.Maybe JIKA was better than everyone thought. Mitch McAuley has now notched up 7 clubs in the last 7 season. That is one outstanding stat that can't possibly be broken ever.
How can a club ever take him on knowing he'll be gone the next season?
