Who are these 3 young guns Camrea have lost???

To my knowledge they still have J Bubis, S Berak , J McGann( these 3 would be top half dozen players in Barclay) , C Perera (import), D Pugus T Fellows ( 4 Comp Medals between them) .

These are the the guns in their side ! Only loss is a jesensek from 1st XI.

1. Camrea 3rd (Lost 3 key young players). Teapicker

Ive read these comments and would love to know who these KEY young players are? Because they certaintly didnt play 1st XI cricket.I hear the 1st XI at Camrea is pretty much the same as last season with the exclusion of Jesensek.

If anyone can shed any light on these KEY young players please let the forum know!

Just been to my first training session for the year.
Couple of new guys that seem to be able to hold the bat, plus Undies is back this year.
Also interesting to see an ex-Mill Park coach sending a few down. Going by what our coach had to say afterwards, not sure that he'll come across, but he would be a handy pick up.

How your skinfolds going bear?, rumour has it that you have been so distressed about your beloved bluebaggers not living up to your high expectations that you have hit the good old comfort food with a real passion?????

Fair to say the skinfolds are going well.

As for the blues...2nd year of the 5 year plan was to make finals, so hopefully that will happen.

Whats the news out of the agm?
4 Piece balls?
1 Day bowling restrictions???

2 piece balls
10 overs per bowler in the one dayers.
No new ball at 200 runs- strange. Might be lots of lost balls this year!- Ridiculous rule change.
Exec get 1 only vote at agm instead of 8
Breast and sleeve sponsors on match shirt- max 4
There's just some of the major rule changes.
4 piece balls received 16 votes but needed 18 to pass.
There was no investigation into the monetry cost by the clubs trying to pass this new rule. This rule should have been voted in last year to come in this season. If not should have been voted in this year to come in next season. Clubs can then budget and keep the 2 piece balls for the lower grades at a minimum. The dvca then can approach Kookaburra and/or Platypus and maybe get a bulk package at a better rate. 4 piece Kookaburras are approx $67 a ball or Platypus approx $55 but a far more inferior ball. To put this on a battling club less than 2 months before the first game tends to sway their vote back to the 2 piece ball. I can see why this rule struggles to pass each year.

there goes any chance you have of bowling after 5pm:D

in regards to the monetary costs, i would have thought it's much better to spend cash on 4 piece balls than for clubs to have to pay for umpires in u16s.

easy enough to lose a tattered old ball and only have 5 good ones in the bag.
have you ever seen an umpire look for a lost ball? The 4 pieces would make your full tosses much more dangerous wouldnt they?

Ask lovey, knocked him over last year with a similar ball to Warnes to Mike Gatting.

Not hard to lose balls at your ground, just give Scotty Mckay the ball when you want to get rid of one.

He should be at the opposite ground to us this year. A reward for all the hard work he has put in. Not.

Re: DVCA Money Shield

Will be good to see how a few teams travel through the 1 dayers this season with the now imposed bowling restrictions.
Gone are the days of 2 bowlers bowling 20 each in a 1 day match.

I would think most teams in Barclay would bowl 4 bowlers anyway. Shouldn't change too much. Gives other players a chance for a 1's game they may not usually get. Should have come in 15 years ago. Some teams will definately struggle though.

Mate, Barassi realised after going 7 years into his 5 year plan that things were not going as they should, and didn`t Terry Wallace have a 5 yr plan for the Tigers... anyhow how are things shaping up at the Lakes Reserve for the coming season? have they got a 5 year plan?

Interesting i thought for sure we would be bowling with a four piece this year!

Thought 8 overs might've been alot better

No new ball at 200 runs?? Cannot understand why they would change this rule. Has to be a very good reason you would think? Couldnt be because of money could it?

The Franks will need a new game plan now. Can't have the two large lads, Duggin and Lewis (and buy all accounts have got larger) bowling 20 overs each.

Pretty simple really. Why should you be rewarded with a new ball just because the other team has hit you for 200. Pretty much rewards mediorcacy i think. If a team was to hit 200 off the first 40 overs, why should the other team be rewarded with the chance of 'starting again' with a new ball. Good change i think. Hopefully see more spinners given a chance now
