Re: DVCA Money Shield

Are we talking about the Mill Park Cricket Club here or are we talking about the Hell's Angels?

So far I've been punched in the gob twice and shot in the arse! Not to mention the various other threats

Get a grip boys, this is getting too easy!

I mean, I'm having so much fun here I could go on and on, but I'm worried one of you "big men" will cry soon.

Looks like money can buy a heap of agression, let's see if you can't translate that into some decent cricketing ability.

Look forward to playing you this year, looking forward to seeing a bloke come out to bat with a shotgun and at least 2 others looking for a bloke with a big mouth to fix up.

I'll watch with keen interest all year for every MPCC hero who belts a bloke because he's got a rumour about his club.

At least we've proven one thing here - Fighting over the internet is like running is the special olympics, even if you win you're still a ************.

Peace out ladies, good luck with the year ahead.

Guy Jenkins from Strathewan, who play jika 3rd Div, told me they played Mill Park and gave them a nice touch up......

Mister Ed.

If you are going to use my name at least get it right. For the record my name is Glen Jenkins, not Guy, and I haven't spoken anyone about yesterdays hit out again Mill Park, as the game was mainly played between lower graded players. Yes we did have a few of our 1st's playing, to get a hit before the real stuff starts next week, and on mill parks part, they had mainly kids playing. It was a 35 over game and batting pairs batted for around 8 overs each, no matter how many times people went out. The whole idea was to blow out the cob webs, nothing more, nothing less. Mill Park then put on a BBQ after the game and gave us a feed. Very good on their behalf. Thanks to Mill Park for that.

Hope that straightens out the story, just a little.......

Whats wrong with the Hells Angels? Your self and Mister Ed are treading a very fine line.

Do Your self a favour tell JD to get his facts rite,Know one from Mernda rang Mill Park we all know that. It would be very wise of you to keep your mouth shut and pull your head in before it gets pulled off.

One more thing you have been bagging all the Money players and there threat then you turn around and say your looking forward to playing them ? Any way is hasnt been hard to find out who you are.

Keep a low profile you have upset alot of people in here take that how ever you want.

Re: DVCA Money Shield

Jeez... what's with all the threats lads??? It's pretty immature. It's one thing to post some smart-arse comments back and forth (I'm guilty of it... and I enjoy it), but threats are a bit over the top. What does it prove when you're all posting anonymously anyway???

For the record Captain Cuzz... I don't play for Mill Park. You may have missed my post on the old DVCA thread, but I have said who I am and what club I play for. I wasn't take a stab at you about getting 'facts' wrong or having the wrong info passed onto you by whoever. I was merely taking a stab at you for having a crack at peoples spelling and grammar. I'm sure it wasn't too hard to decipher all the spelling errors, so it was pretty stupid making such a fuss over it as you did.

Smart arsed comments are exactly what I've been dishing out. I was actually hoping to get some thrown back my way, but that's not to be.

The Mill Park boys have copped plenty of the winter (throwing the cash around, buying cars, blah blah blah) so I can see what you'd get upset at yet another rumour/dig at your your club. I may well have been given the wrong information and jumped the gun a bit last night with the post regarding the games over the weekend. Believe it or not, once I got one bite about it, all i did was egg blokes on. I don't mind if you think I'm a dickhead, but threats of belting me, ripping my head off and shooting me are all a bit OTT.

BC007 - The digs at people's spelling, etc were only made because I was copping a little bit and just wanted bloke's to do it properly. It was a bit of an exaggeration on my behalf saying that I spent more time trying to figure out what people were saying more than anything. I'm not sure how it came across, but there was no malice intended. I said I was here to talk cricket, but my shit stirring side got the better of me for a little while.

And as silly as it might sound to some people coming from me, I'd like to talk some cricket for a change. Fixtures, grounds, umpires, pitches, juniors, everyone's got an issue with one or more of these.

So....

Are any clubs disappointed with who they're playing in the one dayers? Does anyone think it'll effect where you finish on the ladder (strong teams playing weak teams don't have the chance at outright points)? And are weaker teams happy they're not playing a stronger team, for the same reasons?

Double-edged sword mate... if he says his club, you should say yours.

Iam not gunna be a captian cuzz, this is what i have heard. A few of the boys down at the Franks are thinking about not playing this year. There not happy with what Duggin and Lewis are on.

This might be a good talking point whats a player worth?

ie... Terry Keays and lets say a Duggin.

Thats only what I have heard it might be all crap!

Re: DVCA Money Shield

I was more talking about players who aren't 100% committed to a club yet, heard a few things about Matt George @ Thomo, Stuey Duncan @ College, Leigh Stewart @ Mill Park etc etc.

Can anyone confirm what these three are doing, if there playing and if there is anyone else in the money shield who is still up in the air?

I can tell you %100 Leigh Stewart will be playing at Mill Park his brother Glen is also back this season. He batted very well on Sunday.

Fair call... but I don't think it's all high and mighty for posters to say who they are, or what club they play for. I did it because it doesn't really bother me if people know who I am or what my opinion is. Here's an open invite to sledge the shit out of me when I play against y'all aswell. Hopefully we can all laugh it off over a brew or two once the match is over.

As I have said in the past, people are well within their rights to keep themselves anonymous... that is part of why this forum is good fun to chat on. I was just telling 'Demolition' that if he wants something, he should have to return the favour... even though 95% of us probably know what club he is from anyway :D

No surprises there.

I'm just having a little stab in the dark here... but, I'm guessing that 'The Wizz' is someone who has a pretty high position on the Mill Park committee.

Keeps to himself... not looking for controversy, seems quite astute ;)

My secrets out you must have been talking to your little brother Steve?
Hows it all looking down at Thommo ? Your brother went ok on Sunday to his a very good cricketer I have alot of time for him. Darren fits in really well and seems to be enjoying him self. Its gunna be a really good game to watch when we play you guys cant wait.

Re: DVCA Money Shield

keays would have to be worth as a player alone, at this stage of his career $5K proven match winner at the top level, tough nut.

i think we would be quite suprised if clubs had to disclose their player payments, imagine how much Keay's would have made in the last 15 years..........all taxable of course.

Nah, no secret is out... I've known for ages when TVOTV first started bobbing his head up. I'm not gunna mention names, that should be your choice.

Things are looking alright at T.U.C.C... should be a really competitive season in Money Shield. Will be good viewing

Re: DVCA Money Shield
