That would be the best possible outcome. Even 8 One dayers and 7 Two dayers to make up the 15 Rounds.Have heard on good authority it'll be 7/7 split between one dayers and two dayers
To do that would imagine you would need to bring in 2 new clubs and drop 2 clubs from each Shield to create another Shield under MashId imagine the top grade will look to revert to 8 teams in the near future then?
Cant see it being too sustainable not playing everyone in a two day game.
To do that would imagine you would need to bring in 2 new clubs and drop 2 clubs from each Shield to create another Shield under Mash
8 team comp would be perfect obviously for equality (7 x 1 dayers, 7 x 2 dayers)
Until then, your never going to get an equal draw. Unless there is another option?
Yep, 2 more clubs and work towards ensuring the viability of all clubs in the 4 divisions. Just pick the best 2 from the NMCA.
4 shield grades
4 reserves grades
Promotion for both grades dependent on shield team performance.
A handful of other grades that play 2 days cricket
A handful of one day cricket only grades.
That's the optimum structure for mine.
RECCC Senior Coach Update: Michael Berry appointed as the Senior Coach Season 2022/23
In February this year we started recruiting for a new senior coach. After conducting a thorough process during March and April, the club is delighted to announce that Michael Berry has been appointed as RECCC Senior Playing Coach for Season 2022 / 2023.
Michael Berry Introductory Video
Michael’s cricketing journey has taken him from Broadford, Assumption College Kilmore, Airport West Cricket Club, Hadfield Cricket Club and more recently Hurstbridge Cricket Club. He has been a member of the Hurstbridge Cricket Club for several years and Captain of their First XI.
When we asked Michael what were the 3 stand out characteristics of the coaching position he commented, great culture - which comes through good communication and great core values, with the main goal for everyone in our community to enjoy playing a game we all love.
Michael will be more formally introduced to the club over the coming weeks. Initially Michael will be meeting with our recent leadership groups to gain their thoughts on playing personnel, he will then meet with the senior captains and then as many players as possible as he commences preparations for pre-season training.
Please join me in welcoming Michael to the RECCC family and wishing him every success in his role for season 2022/23.
