World Swimming Championships 2022:
Thomas your countryman Lukas Martens put on a good show for the start of the championships in Budapest, Hungary yesterday. The 20 year old just failed to catch Aussie Elijah Winnington in the 400 Freestyle final. This is redemption for the 22 year old Winnington after a disappointing Tokyo Olympic campaign.
looker-on looker-on
Jessica these world champs are a good hit out for when England and Australia clash in the pool in a month in Birmingham.
J Jessica 🤗

Thanks, mate. I had heard neither of the event nor of him although I was watching sport the whole afternoon yesterday. He seems to be up and coming. Until now long-distance swimmer Forian Wellbrock has been in the news mainly. Congrats to Elijah.

Was watching the pre-Wimbledon ATP final in Germany. Had thought I'd see Aussie Kyrgios play in the final but to my surprise he'd been beaten by the Pole Hurcacz. Fine match.

A forgotten great race I think was Duncan's silver in Seoul as well. Iirc he's like last with about 70m ago and nearly pinches it.

Would like to see the Professor McEvoy finally put it together at the Olympics and take gold in the 100m free.

They are tough with the qualifying times.
Always are. Wanna push our swimmers to their limit.

Ariane Titmus, Kaylee McKeown, Emma McKeon, Lani Pallister, Sam Short, Elijah Winnington, Sam Williamson, Josh Yong have all qualified. Ariane a whisker off her 400m free world record and fastest time this year.

Will take a look at the h/l footage.
Mollie O’Callaghan, Maximillian Giuliani also booked their ticket to Paris.

In the 100 Breaststroke 15-year-old Sienna Toohey announced herself when she broke the national age record set by Dolphin great – Leisel Jones. Australia has another promising girl with the same stroke Olivia Pope, 14. I can see some exciting racing between this pair down the track..
