With the 74th selection in the FDL draft, the Scarborough Bullets select:

Alastair Cook, batsman from England.

Re: Fantasy Domestic League Draft

While we are extremely upset at missing out on John Davison, we will be taking a home-town player. The Scarborough Bullets are proud to select:

Sunil Dhaniram, spin bowler from SCARBOROUGH, Canada.

Younginator you are on the clock.

Rats, he was next on my list, I was really hoping he'd still be there next round.
Good pick!

78. Murray Goodwin (ZIM) if he's still playing FC. Is he??
Looks like he's still playing for Sussex in 2007.

Guess who's batting average just jumped up 4 points to 31? :p

Sunil Dhaniram

Considering that his bowling average just dropped from 23 down to 19 a few hours ago, it's pretty obvious why you made this pick!

Always good to impress the team managers right before they're due to make a pick.

Re: Fantasy Domestic League Draft

Dhaniram was on my list all along just below Davison as my 'home talent'. Nice performance by him today though. He needs one more game to be eligible, but just watch him go for 0-80 or something ridiculous. Nice guy, Dhaniram. He and his family sat by me at one of the ICup matches this summer. They offered me a Coke and had one of their kids fetch me roti. Very kind!

Re: Fantasy Domestic League Draft

What better reason to draft him!!!!

I didn't realize we were actually supposed to meet with the players we're drafting.

Re: Fantasy Domestic League Draft

Yeah, we talked contract and everything. I offered him a keg of Guinness if he could get his bat over 25 and his bowl under 20. He's making good on his end....

Mitch Johnsen. Has played the required ODI and averages 23

Re: Fantasy Domestic League Draft

Taufeeq Umar (Pak)
Test average of 39.29, will fill the last batsman spot in the tests, but only 24.83 in ODIs so probably won't play there
