Finals time! The Crusaders come off a thrilling semi-final matchup which saw a replay after they tied the Figjams on the first try. The Lions come in off a resounding win in the One-Day finals, and will be looking to go for the treble here! Should be a cracker, here we go.

Good morning once again and welcome to our coverage of the Grand Final of the BCFCL. Everything that has happened before has been a prelude, and we are here to witness what will be a great test (though not officially a Test) between two wonderful cricket teams. The Kandy Lions welcome the Caribbean Crusaders to the Kandy Bowl for this matchup, and it should be a cracker! Without further ado, let's go do Marky Mark, our man on the ground, who will give us a pitch report and the toss.

Hello everyone, we're down here on the pitch and it looks like an interesting one, to say nothing else. There's a bit of green on the top, but it looks firm, and one would think it will improve as the match goes on. All things considered, it will offer an equal contest between bat and ball. We've got the captains here, Stamislav, you have the coin?

Stamislav: I think we'll go ahead and have a bowl on this. It's green on top, and looks a bit damp as well. Hopefully we can put some pressure on them early and get on top.

Ljp86: Yeah we're a bit disappointed to lose the toss, I was hoping to get first crack at bowling as well. But it's fair enough, if we can get through the first hour or so, we should have a chance to put up a good first innings. We've got the full five days, so there's no real hurry to score runs.

So that's it on an eventful first day. The Crusaders were put in on a greentop, and struggled, making just 235. The Lions struck back late, and are 42/1 after 9 overs of their innings. The pitch still looks a bit green, to be honest, and it will be a battle early tomorrow when there's a spot of dew on it. This match is anything but over. See you in the morning!

Well, I never win the toss, I guess that doesn't help.

A poor effort from the batters. I really thought that on a normal pitch we'd be able to kock up some sort of total that would be a challenge for the Kandy Lions.

Dirk had a good knock of 73 but that was about it besides ONB's 38.

Luckily for us, myself and Bowling Shane were able to put on 58 for the last wicket which was good for our cause.

We have to do it with the ball now, Crusaders. We have already got one wicket, we just need to run through the Lions batting line-up and hopefully the pitch could aid us in getting a lead.
