The worse thing is... I have provided my services without charge or advertisement since 2007 and I find advertisements for clinics providing my kind of specialism around the corner from me on my specialist pages. If they were clinics I could recommend, it would not be so bad.

Just in case you were wondering why I am not as active as in previous years. However, I am still willing to help if anybody wants to send me a PM.
 
For those on Firefox use Adblock and you'll remove the ads.

Liz - I get where you're coming from. The problem is the ad servers use keywords in your posts plus the location of your IP address to serve ads. Hence, clinics round the corner.
 
Not a problem for me at all. My post was a response to Dave's not a complaint to huss. I know full well how it works... hence no posts created [and very few responded to] ;).
 
Having just seen the full extent of the advertising on here, have to say it is embarrassing. Far too much and far too intrusive. Bit ashamed to have put my name to this place.
 
There are ads? I've always used the Adblock add on, I know it ruins the point of advertising and the income it produces but this site is as clean as any I've ever seen while it's running. It is supported on Chrome and Firefox (although the Chrome one is a bit dodgy) which accounts for about 2/3s of people I would have to say from experience. If it's annoying you just use that and this site is brilliant.
 
You were away too long Boris! It was a bit laughable at one point but huss sorted it and the ads are once again tolerable :D.

Of course, ads are very important; not just to generate income for the site but also to enlight. It is just a case of a good balance... as with everything in life!
