Bourkey, glad you've joined us.

Wicket was ok, that one spot outside off-stump caused some issues for both sides. Don't think we will play on a quicker outfield this season either.
Your first ball looked out from backward point haha but was probably going down!
Thought your bowlers made the ball talk through the air, both openers were moving it miles. Where as we prob did more off the seam. 1-75 at drinks thought you guys were going to post 200 + so well done to the thommy bowlers, as it turned out 100 would've been enough haha.

Just out of interest what brand was your bat? One of those sixes you hit into the practice wickets exploded out of the middle.

The Kippax mate - highly recommended! Made in Yorkshire. Yeah, enjoyed the game, and with Smelly and Bosworth you'll be therabouts at the end.

surely if ya werent playin it wood make it easier2write abt matches. u cood definitely attend more matches. cood the captains write out a media report & the journo cood add his magic touch2it2make it2the paper?!?

I may be wrong here but at one stage captains were required to submit a press report with the Match Reports, which was supposed to sum up the game along with stand out achievements as i am not a captain and dont know. Is this still happening???

ease up on harps will ya, i know he doesnt have ya normal gun fast bowlers attitude, hes a good bloke though and f?*%k me he has been at top of the tree for a while, ive faced him plenty and ya definitely earn ya runs.

with harps i jst want him to tel us wat its like to play unda BAZ, tats all.
his on ere all the time yet wont answa me question, the longa he leaves it the less i think he likes him, dontchya agree?

Great start by the mighty Cheetahs last week push for outright tomorrow. Top of the tree after Rd1 whod of thought not all you clowns thats forsure

We will keep proving our knockers wrong under Bridey as captain.

Starting with Jan Juc tomorrow and St Albans next week, we aint cocky just going to prove to the GCA we are a loss to them and we should of been in Div2 this season. So all the BPCA clubs will wear the brunt of that unfortunalely for them

Can anyone tell me if a guy by the name of Dave Ruby is playin cricket down that way.
Played in the same team as the big fella a few years ago and have lost touch.
Last i heard he was heading back to the Geelong area.

id say he will probably slot into number 7. after me or lachy. he batted well in the 2s last week apparently so hes got the chance cos shanes out but im not sure its a bit of a step up. hes a confident young kid, so i dont think he'll be overwhelmed. hav 2 see wat happens

He played at Bell Park C.C. last season. Early this year he hooked up with a bird from Nyah (i think) and moved there with her

I think you will find he might be playing at Bell Park. A few seasons ago he came down to our club, South Barwon to do a pre-season. He started the pre-season but then he got some injury at work which was going to put him out for the season. We did not see him again after that. The next time I saw his name was last season, I think, playing for Bell Park in their 1st XI. They weren't the strongest side but I think he made a good score in one match.

i was talking to a parent of a leopold 2nds player 2day and was told that the lions 2s were bowled out for 110, and E belmont past them in the 30th over with GRANT DEW (great bloke) was in and around 40. is it true that he kept batting on to get his ton????
if thats true, though doesnt suprise me, what a sh*t thing to do.
once a one dayer is over, its over.

nope, the captains don't fill out these forms anymore. They did not use to fill them in with much information anyway as most captains are not the types that care what goes in the paper. If they did cricket like footy they would have 3-4 reporters who go to each game and write an article on each game, but it's not, so we get 2 lines of cryptic rubbish. Maybe on this site as we have so many people from different clubs that we can put on some unbiased views on the days play without bagging people to the max !
