I think we start next wednesday...Which is far too early in my book!!

probably a reason why you are playing 2nd XI at best, 2nd XI at best !! :) You should be living and breathing cricket just like your childhood idol, Chuck Norris !!

i think we will b alrite this yr, eg:not finish last.
i'd have to say Bell Post Hill and possibly North Geelong.
will be a bit of a dogfight for the rest of the year tho.

i think Geelong Cricket is as strong as it has been in recent years?
thoughts?:D

it very strong.

i think the gap from the top 6 or 7 to the rest is going to be massive this season.
the top clubs have recruited well ans the lower clubs havnt by the sounds

yeah i'm with you fineleg2fineleg...i HATE it. don't reckon it's overrated, it's very important for getting in touch for the season proper, but i just hate training without the prospect of a game coming up!

time from first training to first game...7 weeks 3 days...that's 45 days total... *sigh*

nearly as long as it takes an elliott to make 25 not out :p

Danny Skene, Matt Kennedy, Troy Oakley & Matt Karafilis. All just honest and sharpish without having blistering pace. Karafilis actually won 2nd bowling average by an absolute street. Think he took something like 30-something wickets for about 4.00 but didn't bowl enough overs would you believe thus didn't win award?!

You forgot the Spainard in Damien Port !! He would be one tough bowler to face on some of the wickets that he played on in Division Two. Moving the ball at right angles coming down at snails pace :)

Re: Geelong Cricket '08/'09(gca/bpca)

Anyone know of any practice matches this season? who's playing who? or who your club has got lined up for a pre season hit out?

Well maybe you and Mr Cricket should get a sleazy motel room together and use test match analysis and pre season net sessions as foreplay.

any thoughts on the gca 1 sides who will struggle and prob get the wooden spoon??

Who really gives a toss about who comes last! People only remember who won not who came last. People only want to talk about the top sides and how they can shape the finals. Only 8 and a bit weeks to we start - how much sh*t can you blokes talk in that time!:D
