no loss too lazy to ever be any good, i think they'll give him 2 clearances, just in case he loses one.

fair enough.... i wasnt even sure why he left thomson in the first place!!

Can anybody confirm that Brad Stacey and Darren Kiddle will be departing BPH this season, could be a huge blow for the hill and will struggle if these two weapons leave. Also, are the rumours true that Chris Moreland wont be playing cricket this season?
Is Scowny still the most dominate bowler in the gca. Ive known him for a while and faced up to him in the nets, very sharp but is kicking on.

Kiddle to Leopold, Stacey staying at BPH

I couldnt agree more with you right arm medium!
I know about 5 or 6 of our turf squad said after playing at south barwon last year that the wicket and outfield was definately up to grand final standard. And im a bit biased but Joeys is a great venue for cricket. With the small boundaries and the balcony.

The wicket for the finals at South Barwon was awesome. Bounce and pace for the bowlers who bent their backs, but even bounce for the batsman.
Only negative was the run ups at the clubrooms end, where there was sand just at the wrong place. But they definitely deserved to have the grand final over East Belmont.

Leopold r flying, might b the smokey this year.

They weren't too bad last year, just dropped off towards the end. Could be pushing for a spot in the top three.

Re: Geelong Cricket '08/'09(gca/bpca)

heard a little rumor tonight david boyd from south barwon has been offerd $5000 to coach portarlington this year and is seriously considering it...... only after big ando knock back $10,000 and this is a 100% from him and a bloke from there committee who im mates with.

Re: Geelong Cricket '08/'09(gca/bpca)

After saying the other day about ando hitting a 4 off the last ball of the day down at geelong in the one's to win the game, he informed me it was off none other than the former england one day captain paul collingwood 2day and asked me to put this up to inform everyone!:D

happy now ando?

All the bet to Leopold if this is to be the case. Was only a couple of seasons ago they faced relegation. Their recruiters and coaching staff appear to be doing a great job.

Yeah run-ups last year where not the best due to being stuffed by the lack of water the previous season. This year will be a different story (as long as we are able to continue the grounds to be watered) so am hoping ground will now be complete.

As of the D Boyd rumour he may have been approached but that kid is staying put. He is a vital part of South and won't be leaving his mates.
