watch the swearing

i go away for 2 days and ive missed all the good bits.

bringbackwarney, sharkbite you both need to find out the truth before you start rumours.... especially in geelong. its amazing how fast stuff travels thru cricket clubs. thats if you are actually from cricket clubs, i have my doubts.
one day you will both be revealled.

GCC101, dont even want to comment on you, the garbage that you type is just stupid.

As long as the word doesn't come up in the swear filter it is fine. If you must swear, fine but use the swear filter, don't avoid the filter or you'll cop a warning or infraction for that also.

Posts with excessive swearing should be avoided.

correct.

you go away with the wife for the weekend and come back and it was obvious bringbackwarney, sharkbite (i thought u died!) and GCC didnt get up to much over the 2 days!

cmon guys take your personallity clashes elsewhere, i think i speak on behalf of everyone in here when i say no-one cares!

ok and i will elaborate on posts made in here over the weekend.

Marshall - JOKE, enough said! Stupid appointment when u consider they finally have some decent youth with the 2 dubblebum brothers but they will learn absolutely NOTHING of cammarotto!
Thomson - will finish in the top 6, Mick Gill good young spinner who St Peters/Sth Barwon expressed and interest in, Smiljanic will score loads at Godfrey St, Oneill has had 2 seasons out of juniors, didnt play at all 2 seasons ago due to injury, was Junior Cricketer of the Year 3 years ago, think he scored the most runs in the finals last season. Saltamacchia should benefit from having smelly opening up with him.
Torquay - Bourke will dominate. Don't think he has the cattle at Torquay to make them super competitive, saw them play last season, really were a mess and considering their best bowler has left (skroblak - even tho i dont rate him personally) and there Overseas in Ellis was the only decent batter in there line up and now he has left, they need 600+ from Bourke, does he bowl?
Newtown - not sure about an overseas, wish we could get our kid back from last year, has been doing quite well this english summer.
Rick Humphrey - great bloke and yes has some of the funniest sledges in local cricket, how old is he now?Leopold - will be super competitve, expect runs from Josh Hughes this season, is a very solid openener who isn't faced by much. Zanoni: interesting year ahead for him, could cement his place as a top bowler in the league with another strong season.
Schaller - haven't seen anything of him but the people who i have been speaking to all have said his great for a youngster, hopefully Geelong coach/train him well and he progresses thru the ranks!

that is all for now :D haha

Ricky is 34 in September but hes still young in the mind, will be interesting to see if he gets a game with Fanno playing and we have a youngster Jack O'Donohue who played a few games last year as an off spinner.

Does anyone know what Sella and Watts are doing this year? Are they playing 1s at BPH?

is SMOKIN JOE the next ritchie, your views are superb!! Glad to see that the talk about div 2 has livened up. the three comps should all be very tight this year with the exception of 1 side in div 2( marshall a fair way of it still)and a few of the bushwhackers in div 3 might struggle.

Without Ty Watts, BPH woudnt be very far. Arguably the best player ive seen in the last 10 years. Very aggressive and gets his two bob worth when fielding.

Re: Geelong Cricket '08/'09(gca/bpca)

South had not spoken to Mick Gill other than him expressing interest a few seasons back when he may have been looking to leave Thomson, but since then things must be going well and he continues to improve.

Bourke does bowl, some English seam bowling which is not going to beat you for pace. He is very competitive though, so always will give you 100%.

Re: Geelong Cricket '08/'09(gca/bpca)

murgie would have to be rubbing their hands together considering guild-st marys current position. could a move up the hill to west fyans street be on the cards for the frogs?

Is there any hard evidence of Guild's 'current position' or is it just speculation? I Can't really be bothered reading 150 pages of posts:p

Spinners (or slow bowlers)
Tsitas
Stacey
Talarico
Kiddle
Armstrong
Fleet
Fanning (does he still bowl spin)

Who would take bags. Who features in the league wickets.. Only Tsitas and Talarico I think.[/QUOTE

Slow bowlers!!! Very apt, none, apart from Stacey turn it

Saw him bowl really well against Grovey last time he was here.
