yeh, and in that semi last year, one of the sissy allen girls claimed a catch toget hornet that clearly bounced and when we were bout to win, the new capt-coach had tears rolling down his cheek whilst running in2 bowl.:eek:

oh, what did we do before we had Big Cricket to talk about alot of these chinese whispers. There is no truth in Brad getting any weeks if Ando gets any weeks as he was not out there and the captain cannot control batsmen. If anyone could control Ando it was me, so maybe I am in trouble !! Ando is a much loved player at South and he loves playing there. It is obvious that he sometimes goes over the top when playing but he is working hard on getting this out of his game. The East guys targeted him from ball one and in the heat of the moment he let his guard down. Anyway we have a game of cricket to win this Saturday and I am sure Brett will be working 110% to come away with a win. And as for Lions Den if he was a East Belmont 1st XI player his posts would be much more credible if he backed up any comments with his name. No use trying to make waves behind a name, which could be any John Doh around Geelong, so best not to take any notice of this guy at all

This is all i've got to say on the matter;
-Ando, like many cricketers around town sometimes lets the heat of the moment get the better of him. Everyone has been guilty of that over the years, however in Brett's defence, despite the fact that he could be called a serial offender, he is obviously working on this aspect of his game. Too bad others around the place aren't. More importantly, i have known Brett off the field for a couple of years and he is a great bloke to have a beer with. I knew all the stuff about his behaviour before i met him and since i have made his acquaintence, i have found the man to be fantastic and it is a shame that others, as said, aren't similar and unfortunately are tossers off the field as well as on.
-Not sure how the Brad clause works but a captain can certainly be suspended for not controlling his players adequately. I'm not sure how many people would remember it but about 10 years or so ago, North Shore played Geelong West in a Div 2 Grand Final. It all started when G Talarico would not depart when dismissed by a catch in slips that he thought hadn't carried; umpires conversed, agreed that they couldn't give it out and the situation got worse from there. David Roach stormed the umpires' rooms at tea, pointing fingers and threatening them, the famous Scoble/Hirst collision later (a la Gillespie/Waugh) again flared things up again and at the end of the matter, Roach was out for a season or more, Poulter as well and Ty Watts for failing to control his players copped a ban. So, that's how the captaincy thing comes into it. Not saying that it applies here, just demonstrating how it happens. Anyway, that's enough from me.

Surely a bit of verbal abuse shouldn't constitute a ban - especially if the fielders started it?! The stuff that is said at international level must be loads worse and nobody ever gets banned.

Let the big Bird keep steaming in - fair play to teams winding him up as they know it's not too difficult, but don't punish him for reacting!

I understand Ando's in the limelight here because he has been reported but i think it's getting a bit out of hand.

Yes everyone knows that he is a fast bowler who has a temper issue but there is no need to hide behind a forum name and kick the bloke in the guts.

I know he abuses people on here but at least he does it when everyone know's who he is and doesn't hide that fact, whilst i still don't think it's a good idea and in now way support it, those people who he abuses at least know who he is.

As for Brad getting reported also, if that's true it's ridiculous: there is no way he can be in control of the batsmen when he is watching, i hope this is just heresay and not fact.
