Nothing new about it.
Aussies are ill mannered and uncivilized people and one should expect nothing but abuse from them. South african team received the same abuse last year and now it is the turn of Panesar.
Murali Dharan of Srilanka once said that "Australian crowd is the most uncivilized crowd in the world", which is true. He also said that he never liked to play in Australia.

Truthteller, you speak complete and utter nonsense.
I come from Australia (Adelaide), and have been to many cricket games and have never heard any racist comments. I'm sure there are some racists around, but if they spoke their opinion publicly, i'm sure they would be put in their place quicksmart!
Sure Panesar will cop some abuse, but I doubt any of it will be racist in nature. More likely it will because he is being carted by the Aussies!
As for the hypocrit South Africans... Throwing stones at Australia, while their cricket team has an extremely racist policy of requiring at least 3 black/coloured players in the team.
