Re: HDCA cricket forum

Does anyone know when the fixtures are going to be available? Would have thought that the new MC would have things running smoothly!!! May be spending a bit too much time down at the doughnut shop!!!!

Re: HDCA cricket forum

Predictions for top 4 in A grade this season - Greensy, Bergers, East Ivanhoe World X1 & Sanna's, think it will be closer than a lot think, any thoughts?

Re: HDCA cricket forum

East Ivanhoe world Xl hoepfully falls apart.

Rumour has it, spending well over 30K for both. Club will be broke before long. Only have 3 senior teams & have to buy best players - funny.

Top 4: Heidelberg, Buteras mob, Rossana & Edinburgh.

Heard Edinburgh have Brad Low back. Played with him at Uni, gun.

Who is the best player in comp?

Butera, Raywood, Favrin, Shadbolt, Cashin?????????????

Re: HDCA cricket forum

As far as best players in the comp go Steve Favrin would certainly be up there, Shadbolt has always been a SOLID player. Butera, what a joke, wouldn't rate him in my top 20! Cashen just gets better with age and the rest of the comp has got a while to wait yet if they are hoping he is going to retire, will play until he is 60 at least!!!!!

Re: HDCA cricket forum

Crispy, where are you? Haven't heard from you for a while, you might have taken on a bit too much this year? My advise is to give up the doughnuts and get back to training, strive to be the player you were a couple of years ago!!!!

watched a bit of all sides over the last few years, for mine the big bloke from Heidelberg is the pick.

You may need to clarify that a bit better TLB as the Berger's have quite a few "big blokes".

Hope everyone is geared up for the opening round this week, feel free to add in any new players that will be making their debuts this week.

Brett Grindil like his game hits hard and is agressive.

Re: HDCA cricket forum

Also heard he's an absoloute machine around the afternoon tea table, the rumour is that one day Heidelberg had an under 12 player as their 12th man, he was apparently lingering around the afternoon tea table when big Grindal wolfed him down as well.

Re: HDCA cricket forum

I have also heard that he holds the record for most rolls eaten at tea break at the Sanna's, definately likes a chew!!!!

Re: HDCA cricket forum

Can anyone tell me if Dean Turner is going around again this year?
I was informed that he recieved a bit of a touchup last year when he played against the Crazy Bears, hope he has improved a little other wise it might be a long year!

Re: HDCA cricket forum

Gardiner, i have heard he has a bit on his plate (pardon the pun!) at the moment, however if he plays i am sure he would be at HCC.

Would be surprised if he wasn't back in the 1's this week, apparently fielded like a champ and was extremely close to getting a bowl, however the Old Ivanhoe boys chose to get out before he was brought into the attack!!
Didn't he claim the scalp of one Sticks Favrin a few years back???
See that the International XI had a poor start to the season, can anyone shed any light on this? Was the Slime just too good? I think they will be the team to beat this year, recruited quite well.

have seen him play a few games and saw him bowl once. crickey he throws more than murali i recon. is that why Favrin doesnt play anymore? i imagined Greensy would be the team this year and proven correct. saw a little of that game and they look slick under the new skip!

Yes, the Slime definately will be one of the improved sides under their new skipper, just a shame that Butters didn't get the gig as i think he would command more respect than Butera, each to their own i suppose!!!
