Re: HDCA cricket forum

Hot off the press:
Rumour One - boys from Brunswick Street off to ESCA. Apparently not happy with East ivanhoe international XL and being forfeited in the 5ths on the weekend to name a few things. One fat stumpy bloke trying to stop.

My source tells me had enough. It is a loss - not sure. My mate on HDCA exec tells me they are the equal 2nd biggest club with Rosanna and heaps of cash... but will be easily replaced.

I enjoyed playing at the home of Roy boys.

Rumour Two - Banyule in a heap of trouble with numbers & $. Mr. Barnes to the rescue I presume.

Enjoy.

what are people's thoughts on east ivanhoe being bowled out for 40! by the bangas
absolute disgrace in my eyes, send em bak to B Grade
A bit harsh don't you think?, they won 2nd grade flag and deserved to come up, they are probably a bit undermanned at the moment losing Clutterbuck and a few others but with Corey Martin & Bub Delaney still in the side i am sure they will push a few sides this year.

Gawn, I'm sure "your mate" from the HDCA MC would be rapt to hear that your spruiking info like this on a public forum!

If you really do have a mate in that position and he is in fact telling you what is going on behind close doors, then maybe you can get your mate to resign from the MC. I thought all the clubs voted to get together and push ahead to make our comp stronger. If the blokes in charge aren't setting the example I would imagine we have a few problems.

In relation to Edinburgh, we've already played them this year and Shadders seemed very determined to help grow the comp. Maybe your rumour of them going to the ESCA is a bit of mischief making put out by the boys over in the JIKA to unsettle the HDCA boat.

By the way, "your mate" is kidding himself if he thinks that a club the size of Edinburgh could be easily replaced. There is no way the MC will ever let them go!

Nicely put Creme, the competition & all the new fella's that are on board are all rowing in the same direction, aiming to make the HDCA one of the best local comps in metro melbourne, comments like these are best left out of a public chat forum.
By the way Crispy, where have you been of late? That wasn't you on the news last night next to Warney opening the new store in the city was it???
Double glazed for me!!!!!!!!!!

Re: HDCA cricket forum

Not I Fezz! I've actually been trying to chase up some other personal endorsements. KFC and Maccas spring to mind however there may be a conflict there.

What are your thoughts for this week? My tip from early in the season is looking good. The 'Sannas are on fire and at this stage would have to be the team to beat, closely followed by the Slime, who are looking quite dangerous. Banyule already have the points and the game between the River Rats and The World All-Stars is finely balanced.

East Ivanhoe must have been very disappointed on Saturday after what appeared to be a flying start. The Dutchman must be the stiffest bloke in the world. I heard he was caught in slips off the first ball of the day by the Pig! They're batsmen must be struggling outside the top 3 or 4, because the local paper said that Walker bowled really well and I've been told that he made some of their blokes look second-rate. We played him the previous week. He could hardly hit the pitch and wouldn't have caused most of our 3rd grade batsmen any problems. A week is a long time in cricket!

yeh its a fair dinkum joke that west ivanhoe are even in the 1s....and would think they could atruggle in 2nd grade with the loss of clutterbuck

chickenman how did your boy smout the lout go on the weekend? heard he struggled like a one-armed man on the monkey bars!!

regards T.B

It was another soft dismissal of the kid and could be headed back to 3rd grade were he belongs. Heard chickenman also struggled but blamed it on the fine umpiring of smokey. We might see these fine two players grace the fields of the 3rd grade comp. Doubt it would put any fears into the sides down there.

He may not be the best young bowler going around but he has a bit of a dip. Craig Stevens (if you talking about Crogger) on the other hand is a different story altogether. I see he captained Heidelberg on Saturday in the magoos. That being the case, they've got a few issues!

Talking of Heidelberg, we can't wait to play them. Hopefully we get them on a hot one. It would be great to see Jordo, Bubbles, Robbo, Noons and Russ running around sweating like pigs.

Good to have you on board Blue Balls, don't ever underestimate the bigger boys that run around, all these fella's you mention above are big by choice, it is a special competition that has been running at HCC for the last 2 years - "The Biggest Gainer", due to air on TV later this year, I was told by a reliable source that it is very close at the moment with Jordo just in front!!!! Will keep you all posted when the final results come to hand.......

Re: HDCA cricket forum

Fezz??? That wouldn't be the former great all-rounder from Beverley Road? If so I can see why your a bit sensitive about the weight issue!

What the Bergs need is a coach like ours - taking us for runs every Thursday night. If they really are having a comp to put on weight, put your house on Brad Gindal, I hear that boy can really eat!!!
