The nominations for the ICC awards have been announced, so who would you pick?

Mine are as follows (in bold):

Cricketer of the Year
Shivnarine Chanderpaul
Mahela Jayawardene
Graeme Smith
Dale Steyn - an amazing year and helped to move SA towards the top again

Test Player of the Year
Shivnarine Chanderpaul - has been immovable in an average Windies line up
Mahela Jayawardene
Jacques Kallis
Dale Steyn

ODI Player of the Year
Nathan Bracken
Mahendra Singh Dhoni - An exciting player and makes a big difference to the Indian line up
Sachin Tendulkar
Mohammad Yousuf

Emerging Player of the Year
Stuart Broad
Ajantha Mendis - potentially a great, the next 12 months will tell us more
Morne Morkel
Ishant Sharma

Associate Player of the Year
Ryan ten Doeschate (very close to getting the nod)

Niall O'Brien - if his batting was slightly better he'd be the England keeper

Twenty20 International Performance of the Year

Mahendra Singh Dhoni - no real stand out here in this category but I think Dhoni just edges the rest

Women's Player of the Year

Claire Taylor - a great professional and someone who has really led from the front for England. Has also helped to bring on the younger members of team. Also, has been very consistent this year and seems to be there when England need someone.

I can't argue with your picks except I would pick Yuvraj Singh fir T20 performance of the year, remember all those sixes against Broady (I assume that is in the time period)?

I would pick Yuvraj as well. He had two great performances during the T20 World Cup. I think Misbah-ul-Haq should have been nominated as well. He played a few very good T20 innings even though some didn't result in victory for his team.
