English doesn't seem to be your strongest suit, but I'll try.

If it's just bowling you're concerned about, I would strongly suggest recruiting Wasim Akram as a far more qualified bowling coach.

India needs a lot more coaching in the fielding department. Apart from few names like Yuvraj Singh, Raina, Uthappa, Karthik etc. fielding doesn't seem to be the strongest forte of the most. Guys like Munaf Patel, Zaheer Khan, Sehwag, I've seen them displaying some of the most atrocious fielding.

India need a sharp cultural change based around fitness. Fitness in Indian team doesn't compare to some of the other top teams. I would like to see the kind of fielding techniques displayed by players like AB de Villiers, Lou Vincent, Michael Clarke, Andrew Symonds etc. by Indian players, match in match out.

With the vast budget they've got, I would love to see India recruit Jonty Rhodes just for fielding techniques and really put emphasis on professionalism and improved fitness programs. I don't see a guy like Kapil Dev giving importance to fitness, given the awful shape he's in himself.

Dhoni is a far better batsman than a keeper. There are too many weaknesses in his keeping which even a guy like Saeed Kirmani pointed out few months ago.

In short, there are way too many departments in which India is lagging behind, and they just need to focus on those things to go to that next great level.

I can't give the name of a single "magic" guy who will fix all problems, but have thrown out names of various people to get some thinking started.

Sandeep Patil is being touted around as the next Indian coach in Indian media. I think Star News said that. There will be a 2 day meeting in Mumbai on April 6 and 7, and all former captains of Indian team (who are alive and in functioning health) have been summoned to attend the meeting for both days.

Incidentally, Sandeep Patil was never captain of India. But he did have coaching experience with Kenya. Based on what little I know about him as a coach, I'm not convinced he would be qualified for the job. I would like to be proven wrong, though.

One thing looks for sure. Greg Chappell's stint there is definitely done.

It's going to be a hard road back for the Indians, but they need to get rid of the Hollywood mentality. They need a new sport which they are decent are so the Public doesn't continue to destroy the whole country when they lose. Changes aplenty need to be made, fitness levels need to increase, they need wake up calls and Chappell also accused several of their batters of being precious. Less money and less pressure. Too much pressure is stacked on, it has to be toned down.

i dont think any coach can make a drastic change in the performance of indian team. their cricket board needs to be harsh in selecting the team, picking up those lads who have real enthusiasm and hunger to perform in the field, not by the reputation of past achievements. in batting, bowling, fielding ... they are far far behind the aussies and the springboks. can you remind the performance of indian team in south africa last year ? that is the condition of indian team. so they have to go a long way before dreaming the crown of world champion. :p

Re: If india lost who would be the next coach

Is there something wrong with the coach they've got though? It could quite possibly be the over exaggerated expectations and the players not being up to the task. What is it about sub-continent teams that every time they have a loss or a setback they always look to conspiracies and sackings? Last I looked he can't go out and take wickets and score all the runs for them. The problem with India at present is they aren't good enough. Their entire batting order needs an overhaul. As great as he's been in the past Tendulkar is finished IMO. Anyone who looks at the current overweight injury prone picture of Tendulkar and can tell me his hearts in it is conning themselves.

Dravids batting has gone backwards tenfold and Sehwag is just a fat slob masquerading as an international cricketer. You can't keep picking players on what they "might" do or what they've done in the past if they're woefully not producing. Especially in the case of a Sehwag who seems to spend most of his time getting run out these days becase he's too fat and out of shape. The major problem apart from all that is they have far too many fly by niters. Guys who come in and look the goods but can't produce enough. They're in a position now where rebuilding their team should be the first priority.
