Pragmatically yes but given our lack of spinners Sodhi is one of those 'projects' that teams have every now and then. Walked past the Basin today and it is super green which is not surprising given how miserable the summer in Wellington has been so far, personally I'd go in with 2 quicks, 1 wicketkeeper and 8 batsmen.

To be fair, seemingly the only faces the South African cameramen show are women; it's like the TV crew are playing a game amongst themselves to find the hottest one. It's embarrassing.


Anyway. This is inspired batting by the Blackcaps. Their third/fourth innings batting needs to be as gritty as this Test rather than the first one (even if this pitch is a lot easier to bat on).
