Some good economical bowling by younster Rodney Trott, we could expect to see a lot more from him in the future.

101/0 after 27 overs

Some good batting from the Bermuda openers, the best i've seen in a long time.

That's it, stumps are drawn. Final score after 128/2

Re: Intercontinental Cup, Netherlands v Bermuda, Nov 21-24

Good batting from Bermuda's openers. If Outerbridge can hang around for another hour or two, Bermuda may have a shot at taking a first innings lead.

This should be an interesting Day 3. Netherlands will feel like they still have a good shot at winning this match. If they can't enforce the follow on, they can still bat for 2 or 3 hours and give Bermuda a large target to chase on the final day. Bermuda will want to keep batting, and build on the momentum from their openers.

Bermuda still has some work to do to avoid the follow-on though. The way they've batted in some matches, I wouldn't put an early collapse tomorrow past them.

I hate to say it but i do agree with you on this one. However I hope they can prove us wrong though. They lost their 2nd wicket just before the end of play, which was a big blow.
Hoping that Clay Smith could break through and pack on the runs like he's capable of doing, with 8 wickets still in the basket and still some good bats to come they should be able to do it. Lets hope there is another good day from Mother Nature.

Re: Intercontinental Cup, Netherlands v Bermuda, Nov 21-24

Day 3 is well underway, Bermuda has lost 2 more wickets. for an additional 58 runs. My worst fears are starting to be realised.

after a total of 68 overs score: 181/4

outbatsmen: Outbridge 80, Smith 12

DL Hemp 19
J. Tucker 0

Re: Intercontinental Cup, Netherlands v Bermuda, Nov 21-24

Janeiro Tucker gone now too,
Bermuda 203-5

They don't look like they'll be able to approach a first innings lead, but they seem to be on their way to avoiding the follow-on.

Re: Intercontinental Cup, Netherlands v Bermuda, Nov 21-24

I must say, some excellent bowling by the Netherlands they've been able to contain Bermuda quite well.

Re: Intercontinental Cup, Netherlands v Bermuda, Nov 21-24

Oh Good Heavens!! Minors just lost his wicket

Re: Intercontinental Cup, Netherlands v Bermuda, Nov 21-24

219/6 79 overs
Hemp 32
Mukaddem 0

I would really like to see Hemp get over the 50 mark without any more wickets falling at least

Re: Intercontinental Cup, Netherlands v Bermuda, Nov 21-24

He must have heard me, Hemp hit two 4's his score is now on 40.

Re: Intercontinental Cup, Netherlands v Bermuda, Nov 21-24

Hemp reached his 50.
245/6 86 overs

LUNCH IS TAKEN

Re: Intercontinental Cup, Netherlands v Bermuda, Nov 21-24

wow, forgot all about in my preps for the Ashes. i have high hopes for the Dutch in the WC, so i am glad to see things going good so far. that being said, i also have a soft spot for Bermuda, b/c afterall you Don't Mess With the Rock! ;)

do if i have it correct, Netherlands need 20 wickets plus the win to advance?

Netherlands needs a win to keep their hopes alive. Wickets don't count for any points this year, so it won't hurt them if Bermuda declares. Of course, there's no reason for Bermuda to declare, so they won't.

Bermuda is 290-6 after 94.
They've avoided the follow-on and now only trail by 88 runs.
Hemp is on fire here, with 75 so far, and if he can keep it up, Bermuda might take over the first innings lead. Regardless of how this match ends, that would do a lot for their confidence following their recent troubles in Kenya.

Re: Intercontinental Cup, Netherlands v Bermuda, Nov 21-24

Netherlands 378
Bermuda 312/6 (99.3 ov)

Re: Intercontinental Cup, Netherlands v Bermuda, Nov 21-24

Well, Hemp and Mukuddem have taken over this match.
Hemp is on 141, Mukuddem is on 87.
They're both still batting.

Bermuda is 428/6, with a lead of 50 runs so far.

What a partnership!

Re: Intercontinental Cup, Netherlands v Bermuda, Nov 21-24

With the rain pouring down, it looks like that is it for the day. Some superb batting from Mooky and Hemp, saved the innings for Bermuda., just when it looked like they were heading for a batting collapse. They certainly proved me wrong here.
final score for the day: 432/6 132 overs

This sets the stage for an interesting final day of competition.

Re: Intercontinental Cup, Netherlands v Bermuda, Nov 21-24

Day 4

An interesting last day this is turning out to be. DL. Hemp has scored his first double Century ever to put Bermuda well ahead by 232 runs. A superb knock indeed, totally putting any hopes of a victory for the Dutch firmly out of reach
