Apart from not having any spare batsmen, I don't like leaving out players that have been doing well in the one-dayers and have been posting.
If that lessens our chances slightly then so be it.

Yea, but unless you have vetoed Jonesey, we have 6 purebats.

The 2 competitions need different strategies. One dayers pick themselves.

Tests are more subtle. 3 purebowlers and two allrounders gives a 5 man attack with an average of 21. 3 purebowlers and one allrounder gives a 4 man attack and an average of 20.25. So playing 4 increases our chances.
But not only do we have a bowling improvement, but we get an extra purebat. That puts our batting power up from 358 to 377.

I don't mind being dropped to make way for a sixth batsman. It's the team that matters.

We drink because we're breathing. Anything else is a bonus.
