Re: Last person to post on this thread wins 5

good sporting city is wang, 2 teams in the oven and murray football league, 2 more in the oven and king, 4 ovals with turf pitches with 2 of those being top class grounds, not bad for a little town with 26k population.

same with where i live... couple hours drive to brisbane for the bigger games, stay on the sunshine coast on the maroochydore pitch that the australian team play on for warm ups, where i live there are 6 turf pitches, one is rated the best T20 one for its bounce, really good nets both where i live and one the sunshine coast everywhere. enough rain to keep everything green.

good cricketing town is it. now just to kick out the soccer people and tell them to stop ripping up our pitches.

cairns or darwin for me, pretty much the same climate, but cairns has the reef so cairns by a whisker.

BLOODY hot though. 30 degree days up there are equivalent to your 40 degree days down there because of humidity. if you get up any higher then 35 and you will sit in your fridge all day long. and then your winter days you are lucky to not wear a singlet.

whereas here you get 40 degree days with slightly lower humidity and then constant below zero temperatures in winter. but i like it better here.

i love the humidity, ive only ever stayed in darwin or cairns for up to a week or 2 at any one time, i dont know how id go full time, i thought id like snow capped mountains too, im bloody sick of them now lol.

i personally dont feel the hot or cold, so it doesnt really worry me.

but having humidity around 98% is alright if you dont want to breathe. everything sticks to you, even the air around you. i have relatives in the west indies and it is way worse over there, they actually have people kill themselves from it!
