Live cricket for free - is this for real?

Re: Live cricket for free - is this for real?

Its not good for cricket. How much do you have to pay for Sky? In India its affordable but to most people outside the cities its just not available.

Hmmm, with regards to sopcast, how clean is the download? I'm pretty well secured on my laptop, but obviously ZoneAlarm can't do much about things I download willingly!
Understand that I would not be downloading it for the cricket, more for the Ice Hockey and Baseball, sports with next to nil coverage here in the UK, therefore (as far as I'm aware) I don't think I'd be doing anything too illegal, as I have no means of seeing the action through more official and legitimate means other than the very good but limited coverage on channel 5 at silly o'clock in the morning. If I wanted to watch a game that they're not covering, sopcast is my only method of doing so.
I dont think Sopcast has any spyware but I dont know if its legal. I have downloaded it but not been able to use it properly because my conncetion is too slow for it.

Master blaster - do you have Mars Bars in India or Snickers Bars as we need something we both recognise as being a standard to get some idea of the value or our currencies? Then we can talk comparative values. Unless you know that what £20 is worth here in the UK?

But I'm a teacher and there's no way I could afford to pay for sky year after year to watch the tripe and adverts that are served up as entertainment. The basic package without the sport/cricket is £20 a month, but then when you add the sports components in order to watch the cricket I think it jumps up to something like £60 a month.

Re: Live cricket for free - is this for real?

£20 is roughly equal to Rs. 1600. In India you'd have to pay 1/5th of that monthly to get all the television channels that your operator provides.

cant remember probably near on £50 a month for everything sky do

Re: Live cricket for free - is this for real?

I think that violates some copyright laws; its too common these days as anyone can upload videos on these sites. Its their responsibility to remove it though.

Re: Live cricket for free - is this for real?

Yes, but I'd imagine its the responsibility of the site hosting the material to remove it. There is very little you(the viewer/user) can do about it and most people aren't even aware its illegal.

Re: Live cricket for free - is this for real?

I also did it on my site when i wasn't knewing. I read about this at chillingeffects.org:). After that i removed. Its illegal. If somebody will report to google your site will never be included in Google.
