Madrid Magic MVP Thread

This is the official Madrid Magic MVP thread. In this thread votes will be tallied throughout the year for both One Day and Test matches. Votes are awarded as follows:
OD: 3-2-1
TEST: 5-4-3-2-1
The MOTM, if he is on the Magic side, will automatically receive full votes. Votes are awarded by both Breeno and myself after each match. Both sets will be released here.

At the end of the season the Dirk Kuyt Trophy will be awarded to the player with the most votes in both competitions combined. The players who poll the most votes in each competition will be awarded medals for the One Day Player of the Year and Test Player of the Year.


Breeno and I ask that no banter take place in this thread and for only Madrid Magic players and competition moderators (Jolldo, Kshitiz, Biggie) post in here.

Keep in mind Mousey has a very bad hammy, its only early days yet theres alot of cricket left. So buckle up my little friend and enjoy the ride>>;)

Oh, thanks for bringing that up doggies. Since we have 20 ODers and 10 Tests we'll have to look over that.

I need the options of all you guys, do we:
a) Make Tests x2 (BOG will then get 20 votes)
b) Keep it the way it is (BOG gets 10 votes)

I'm going for B.

IMO the Tests have to be weighted x2, otherwise we'll might as well just give the Dirk Kuyt award to the 1day player and let him have 2 trophies. If it is the same team for both then you could argue that equal weighting is fair enough, but inevitably the teams will differ from 1day to test and it's not fair for a guy who plays only 1dayers to have a better chance over someone who only plays tests.
