I dont think it should be weighted x2, because all it takes is for someone to really perform in a couple of tests, while other people slave away in the one dayers.

Yes they could really perform in a few tests but they have half the opportunities to do so. Unless the leadership wants the award to be weighted towards performances in 1day cricket, a weighting system needs to be used. 10-8-6-4-2 is the way to go IMO.

Someone who is awsome in every single test, for example, should be rewarded better than someone who performs in every 2nd one dayer and is rubbish in the others.

Simply for me I look at it mathematically and half the opportunities to poll votes should equal twice the value of the votes received.

We've gone with 10-8-6-4-2 bascially. Breeno and I each vote 5-4-3-2-1 then I add it up. So far only one of our votes has differed, that was in the second ODer.

TEST: 10-1
OD: 6-1

DBT watch out you arnt gonna get many votes now that your a pure bat your gonna have a harder time competing with me and my form :p.
