Before Season 2 commences, I will announce the leadership group for Season 2.

Thanks everyone who applied or who nominated someone else to lead the side.

I'm going to name co-vice captains and if for someone reason I am not online, I expect both these players to have a discussion on the pitch and team that should be selected.

There will also be no deputy vice captain as such, but an extended leadership group (although everyone's opinion are greatly appreciated and if you have something to say, don't hesitate to PM me).

I've played there once.

Out in the middle of no-where, I heard there was a fire in Strathewen, I guess we'll have to keep an eye on the news and see if the NMCA updates us on anything.

The address of the cricket ground is Chadds Creek Rd, Stathewen. Last time I was there, it was all dense bushland, lots of trees and lots of dry ground. If a fire got through the close proximity of the ground, it would have engulfed the whole thing, very, very quickly.

its gone mate there ground is burnt and there rooms are burnt down

Pretty sad to see how many people died, let along pets and livestock. Pretty disappointing to think that a fellow Australian may have litten it.

That's the thing I cannot believe.

Someone could light those fires at a time like this.

Some people are just deranged. It makes for a sad day for Victoria that someone could light those fires which have killed so many people and have ruined so many others lives. Especially the farmers who have to put down their livestock because they had no-where to go.

Very sad to see 65 lose their lives, many more homeless after its all said and done.

Tragic losses caused some ****head.

Hope they catch him and throw him in the oven.

Tragic stuff. People caught doing this should be charged for 65 counts - or however many in that region - of murder imo. Terrible thing to do.

Marysville, a great little town I've been to a couple of times to go skiing, has been burnt down too.

Guys just to let you know, my mother in law was evacuated from her house today, there are fires in her area. I have a couple of close mates who I have just found out that have lost their houses, not to mention family and friends.

Due to this I may be missing on here for a few days. I will try to jump on to post every now and then, but I may be missing for periods of time.

Good luck to all over the next week, congratulations to whoever gets leadership (I should have put my hand up, but was stupid not too) Im sure all that do will strive to make the Magic a better club. Give us a win over the next game or two.

My house in greensborough was one suburb from being evacuated, was there a fire in Eltham?

Panton Hill, good friends live in KingLake and Whittlesea. A mate lost his father and cousin. Another a house and brother. Disgraceful. Just disgraceful.
