All Test stats have been unfortunately deleted.
Yeah, very bloody unfortunate. :mad::mad:

Tongs, I was the dominant batsman in the first part of the season, and I'm still claiming that title even though the stats are now gone.

Re: Madrid Magic Team Thread

Well hopefully I can contribute in some way, has anyone got our usual Test and ODI lineups?

Stats can lie, or at least I hope they do or I'm close to the worst bat at this club:D

Maybe its time to have a spell? Is there any reason why we are the only club with two wicket keepers? Do we need two?

Re: Madrid Magic Team Thread

The reason we have two keepers is because our original keeper hasn't posted and you wanted to be a keeper.

You'll take over from him now. @|

In a one dayer we line up as follows

Batsman
Batsman
Batsman
Batsman
Batsman
Batting A/R
Keeper
Bolwing A/R
Bowler
Bowler
Bowler

Or something very similar to that and in the Test matches

Bat
Bat
Bat
Bat
Bat
Bat
Keeper
Bowler/Bowling AR
Bowler
Bowler
Bowler

Depending on the pitch type for Test matches determines the number 8 batting spot.

Re: Madrid Magic Team Thread

I Just thought that we could possible use the other keeping spot for another type of player to have on our list. Just a thought! You're the skipper!

You always must play at least one all rounder.

Re: Madrid Magic Team Thread

Ah, so you must. That's a rule I don't agree with, but so be it.

The Indians don't play an all-rounder in their test line up.

Sure Sehwag is a part time bowler, but to call him an all rounder (in a Test match) is silly, he and Chris Gayle can get away with it in One Dayers but not Test Matches.

They play 6 batsmen, then a keeper at 7, then two spinners and two pace bowlers, both Harby and Zaheer are certainly no mugs with the bat, but they're not all rounder either and Ganguly (although has now retired) wasn't either.

I actually agree with what you've said. This rule is definitely something we can look at changing for next season.

Re: Madrid Magic Team Thread

For team balance, I'm happy to have a rule where an all-rounder must play in the One Dayers, but even so, I don't see why I couldn't play 5 batsman, 1 keeper and 5 bowlers if I really wanted to. But we'll see what happens at the end of the season

Re: Madrid Magic Team Thread

Plenty of ideas. You'll have to wait and see whether or not you make your debut though @| :D

Re: Madrid Magic Team Thread

Selection will be tight this week, top of the ladder. Yet a couple of new faces, along with with a disappointing loss. Could see some major changes this week???

Re: Madrid Magic Team Thread

They might be happening.

We're away from home, so I'll watch until what type of pitch the curator has in store for us and then I'll decide on the team.

Re: Madrid Magic Team Thread

DK what do you reckon Liverpool's chances of playing a full strength side tomorrow morning are?

Just wondering for vBookie betting......

Re: Madrid Magic Team Thread

Almost a definite.

The game against Fulham showed Rafa had one eye on the Champions League, Alonso will start, Torres will start, the only question mark is Gerrard (fitness).
