you are possibly the stupidest bloke i have ever listened to after reading your sh*t, i think its fair to say that the better team will always win on the day..... and also is it true you where the only bloke in the grand final to ton up 2/106 ? off of your bowling, crickets a game of fitness and remember you broke down that could of played a part in it, where you fit enough to even be in the side you clown, Glenroy might not of made your runs but your team WERNT GOOD ENOUGH to bowl them out so why do you deserve to win......?
So your not entitled to an opinion anymore, Paul says wat he thinks it makes him the stupidist bloke you have listened to. If you met and spoke to him you would realise he is 1 of the best blokes you could talk 2. He didnt break down at all, he was bowling at the end of the day and bowled the most overs for the game. You bowl a lot of overs you are occasionally gonna get hit for runs ( not you though by the sounds of it ). Paul has more heart in his little finger than you have in your whole body. Now the 3 of us has had an opinion.

Re: MMVCA General Cricket Chat

hi all great to read all the posts very entertaining during the year!! alot of people have there opinions on the grand final but disagree wiv you 3_pete, st andrews turned up on the 2nd satday knowing wat they had to do and they werent able to do it!! glenroy were fifth by all accounts coming into the last round and other sides stumbled at the last moment to give them third spot, st andrews top 2 all year and dropped to fourth, lucky to still be in the four as im pretty sure as merlo jus lost to paco, IF that result went the other way then anything couldve happened..glenroy jus took there chances when they came there way!! wanting to know if all the blokes at st andrews are staying on and is there stability at socials, is the club still going strong off the ground or are they struggling?? also bit harsh on j grant, heard stories of the day, but we all drop catches!!

I can answer your question about The Socials, off the ground we are very strong, a good committee working very hard to get the club back to the power house it use to be. On the ground the club is rebuilding after a few retirements of some good players.

Re: MMVCA General Cricket Chat

I Know most of you guys will not care but for people like bite me and mmvca it sounds like good news for St Marys next year with the club getting a verbal ok off the counsil for a turf wicket at the club rooms. The only down site to this project is that they can only start the pitch after the home and away footy season has finished at monk oval which would mean the track would be very average for the first half of the season but with the best groundsmen this side of the city looking after it (Spider from Moonee Vally) it will be a great pitch for the late part of the season. The other news around the club is that it looks like the merger talks are back on the table with maribyrnong park cricket club. If this was to go though then St Marys would be happy that they would be able to play cricket on a turf wicket and then invite the other club in for a drink instead of having to offer them a beer out of a esky under a tree

I may play another season now although i can't speak for MMVCA who knows what he is doing?

I hear that you and MMVCA had to take a pay cut next season for this to happen any truth to this rumour?????????

First slipper, i guess you have not been in conversation lately with mmvca, from all accounts from this site is that he is looking to play elsewhere next season. I find this very strange from mmvca that he is yet to inform his club of his movements for next season and for them to read on a website instead. This to me does not sound like a team player and for all clubs looking at him next year i would be taking this into account!

you aint got a clue have ya, not once this year have i said we are the best team. In the home and away season west coburg were easily the standouts and Glenroy ended up winning the flag, but as for your opinon about us not even being close just goes to show you are a tool. I bet if you asked any1 from east coburg if they would of prefered to finish where they did or play in a losing grand final i know wat their answer would be. St.Andrews will make the finals again next year dont worry about that.

Let me tell you if spider gets enough time on it before the start of the year it will be playing ok by the middle of November, he is a gun and I had the pleasure of playing on his wickets for 2 years

KK looks as if you are getting a little unsettled with all this Grand Final talk. Please dont get fooled into making statements that St.Andrews may not live up to next season, by the way you and Smokeless are talking it's seems as if you guys have next years flag wrapped up!

Perhaps 29 overs would prove him to be fit enough!!

Enough said.

well old hack got no idea who you are but isnt important anyway... he can bowl 29 overs thats good but i belive his figures were 2/106 and he is ment to be the best bowler in the competition he bowled dirt just like the rest of them from st andrews... and king kong your talking about next year is that because your still hurting after loseing a grand final it sucks but you's where clearly not good enough so go hide back in your cave, and old hack start thinking about other options like chess or something cause your no good at cricket yourself ST ANDREWS ARE SORE LOSERS get over it you where beaten by a better side you HACKS:p

Someone can correct me if I am wrong but I thought Old Hack was Dave Jolly. I would disagree that Dave is no good at cricket considering he has taken that team to back to back flags. Yes they lost but Aggr3ssor I think you missed the mark on that one.

There would be no doubt St Andrews would be still hurting from the loss but I also think if they can keep the core players together, then they have to be considered finals contenders for next year, even at this early stage.

Ape man you may not have said GF win for next year but your talk of playing finals and Smokeless talk of winning all Grand Finals in all grades is a little premature giving that you were beaten this year!
In regards to the Bananas i think you may have to cut back as your temper is getting out of control. We may have to put you onto Rockmelons or Pears to calm you down.....
Anyway stay out of the sun today as we dont want you getting sunburnt. Make sure you stay well covered under a Palm tree.;)

Re: MMVCA General Cricket Chat

After a 75 year association with the Churches competition the Altona Roosters, formerly Yarraville Baptists have been forced to make the tough decision to leave the churches comp in the turf grades for obvious reasons as you may well be aware.

I would formally like to invite any parties interested in joining us on our quest to greener pastures.

The Altona Roosters are also looking for an experienced person/persons to help take us to the next level…

Remuneration will be considered based on Communication skills, experience, ability and Knowledge.

Rest assured you will be supported by a club that has Stability, unity, vision and a committed administration.

We hope to inject some youth and experience to our list moving forward.

We have 4 senior teams and 3 junior teams 11’s, 13’s, and as of next year 15’s.

Ninety percent of our current first X1 are in their early twenties and we believe we show a lot of promise moving forward.

If you are looking for a fulfilling and rewarding challenge this is it!

We can be contacted on Western Suburban Churches Cricket Association blog - send Big Coq, Tram or Roosters Hack a private message.
