Anyone heard any results re the West Coburg and St Andrews appeals. Was meant to have been something happening middle of last week regarding at least one of them.

they would have to make the decision before the start of play this saturday otherwise it would be unfair to those teams vying for finals spots to know what they had to do to make finals.REalistically they shouldn't get the points back as they played un registered players.

Sure, its not impossible. Batting maybe strong enough. But highly doubtful that glenroy have the bowling stocks to get that job done. Wardy would have to clean up.

Went and had a look at 20/20 game tonight.

Firstly, let me say, what a joke. MMVCA had 9 players until the 10th over, because two guys from Sunshine Heights didnt bother to show up. It was an absolute farce.

The two guys who showed up at last minute to fill in, Jarryd Garvin and Kyle Adams, should be commended for doing so at such short notice.

But what happens now with the two Sunny Heights boys? Be interested to hear peoples thoughts on it.

And for the record, MMVCA was smashing Coburg subbies.

MMVCA 145, Coburg 3/35 off 10 overs or so when i left. Big Zoran Havranek smashed 3 big 6's and made about 40 in quick time. Justin Summerfield was the pick of the bowlers that i saw.

given the fact that king cost the club nothing and won us a game against st francis which had we lost we would have been out of finals I would say that handy. Certainly agree that he is far from the team of the year and the idiot who nominated him and I know who it is only picked him for his deep deep love for king. He is a handy player and is a valuable asset as he occcupiess the crease and buils partnerships which is what the socials have lacked in the past few seasons. he adds variety amongst the faster scoring vernon,obrien,campbell,johnson and hourigan.

I agree that it is a joke that players from the club i play for and i am sure other clubs players where being called 5 mins beore the start of the game and asked to play. Well done to the 2 boys for stepping up to the plate. The 2 players should have some action taken against them but it wont happen so no point discussing it.

and the cricket his playing is probably to low for his standards go .......

last round this weekend biggest game of the year st andrews vs east coburg. could the points st andrews lost cost them a spot in finals. Could not taking the extra 2 wickets on saturday cost east coburg. Sunshine Heights almost certain finalists given they play Haig last game which means whoever wins between easts and st andrews makes finals the loser doesnt. Which would see the finals shapig up like this first week of finals

How good to see some different names in the mix this year and says good things for the competition overall.

B6(1) Representative cricket teams may be selected from time to time. Players are to be selected by the Coach, Team Manager and selectors who are appointed by the Executive Council. Players selected will be notified in writing of the commitments for the representative matches. Should a player make themselves unavailable less than 14 days prior to that commitment for any reason, then that player if unable to provide a reasonable written reason may be penalised a 2 match suspension, as determined by the Executive Council.

Hope they have a good excuse!!

Tom Campbell a young player from west coburg. great with the gloves and can hold the bat a bit. Yeah Vernon is a strong bat when getting going.
