West got over the line yesterday but we certainly pushed them. Scoreboard does not reflect how close the game actually was but they were just too good.Appleyard and Adams bowled great with Adams taking a HAT TRICK!

Barker was very consistent but unlucky but Greenwood dropped in a great performance to take 4 for 15.

Tough tough deck to bat on.

Proud of my guys for their performance against clearly one of the best sides we have played all year.

Looks like a pretty damn convincing loss to me. 2 for 141 chasing 140 looks like a complete trouncing in my eyes.

St Marys- even with players out will be pumped up and i expect them to bounce back

Glenroy- to good for Sunshine and I think Sunshine are inconsistent

St Andrews- making their charge

Pacco- BSU attack to weak

Merlo- About 12 months away imo but the coach is on the right track. Remind me a lot of West from a few years ago. Will smack Haig

West- Way 2 strong for East and when we start playing on better pitches which with the dry weather should start happening we'll show what our real capabilities are with the bat.

PS As I stated early in the year clearly the best attack in the comp, with St Andrews very close behind.
These 2 sides should be roughly equal flag favourites

They were in danger of loosing the game 2 down and NOT making the runs BUT they didn't and got over the line.

Y ou want to be a dickhead, then come out and make no runs, then be prepared to cop whats coming to you. Even your own blokes, the wiser heads in the club, had a go at the St Francis bloke in question. He is lucky he didnt get belted. Sledging the no11 about his tatts! Go figure.

And the St Marys player got off. To the St Frannys players credit they had a chat after the game and it was decided no further action was necessary.

The skipper batted well, put his head down and showed discipline, the rest didnt show much.
They bowled tight ,but, I felt we always had control of the game. Being so few wickets down meant we could pace our innings and if need be we could easily have teed off in search of quick runs in latter overs if the target was bigger.

Having said that Easts who are undermanned had a crack and u are entitled to be proud of their performance because it was still a competitive game.

Just as an aside Sammy wants to pull his head in, sledging blokes as your shaking hands after the game is a piss poor effort!

How big is this round? It will be a round where teams are fighting to stay in the 4 and teams will be hoping for results to fall there way and teams will be fighting for the win to be sneaking in the finals....

I personally don't think the 4 are set the only certanties is West's making the finals.

The other 3 sides have games where they are expected to win but with unavailabilties and if they were to have a off sat that could cause some upsets which would turn there season on it's head...

I personally don't think the 4 are set the only certanties is West's making the finals.

I have heard a lot worse than Sammy I can assure you. Not defending Sammy but there is at least one bloke in most teams that has a lot to say. Just part of cricket. The best ones back it up with the bat

Paccoe could of been sitting level on top with wests if we had not dropped a catch with 2 balls to go against st marys and not lose in a shamefull way against the bottom side competly our own fault but shit happens and we are now in the mix with 4 or 5 other teams. Look out for terra and b. pallini to start making runs both spent time in the middle on sat and started to look good and our young gun paulie last years under 16 captain looked at home with the bat. Our bowlers keep getting the job done so we are looking forward to the next few games.....

come on ice cold i have posted on this sight at least once a week weather we lose or win and i have never been negative towards anyone or any team i also say when we play poorly. I will also back b. pallini and terra to start making runs, to get back into form you have to spend time in the middle which they both did on sat, brett was ranout when he was starting to look ok and terra coped a peach he also was starting to look good.
