Any results from 20/20 games? Any standout performances? How did the young guys go Bomber?

Hi Warren, we rolled RMIT for 94 but unfortunately our young side was unable to cope with the 20/20 format and fell 10 runs short. Even though it's a different game in the way it's played the basics of batting shouldn't change. Our side was extremely young and I think in the end we just lacked experience heads when it mattered the most.

Great experience for the boys and I hope they enjoyed themselves, on a positive note we fielded and bowled very well. All credit to RMIT they fielded very well, and good luck to them for the rest of the competition.

I would be highly suprised if Paccoe win 1 out of there next 3 games

Wednesday and another round is upon us, so which way are we thinking. It's getting pretty tight one of 5 or 6 teams cannot afford a lose if their finals are to be kept alive.
St Marys v Haig Amateurs
St Andrews v Barkly Street Uniting Church Cricket Club
St Francis de Sales v Glenroy
Pascoe Vale v Sunshine Heights
Merlynston Hadfield v East Coburg Hallam Reserve
West Coburg v The Socials

For me it should be St Marys over Haig but this could be a danger game, the big Kuna is due for a score.
St Andrews over Barkly Street especially with their captain
Huge game between St Frannies and Glenroy, I'm tipping Glenroy at Cole No 2 as I think their batting is stronger overall.
Sunny Heights to end Pacco's season but will be very close
Merlo to keep it's slim finals hopes alive
and West Coburg to win comfortably.

Good luck to everyone for the weekend.

St Marys v Haig- St marys will be to good, to much depth for haig
St Andrews v BSU- Andrews comfortably
St Francis v Glenroy- I agree glenroy have slighty a stronger batting line up but could babo be the key? Glenroy for me
Sunshine Heights v Pacoe- Pacoe will not win another game for the rest of the season.
Merlo v East- Merlo to win with experienced heads
West v Socials- Wests to step it up another notch and win comfortably

i watched taylor against socials, he played very well and had another great innings, also i thought young Danaher from barkly st bowled well, looks like a good one for the future

Rule 76, thanks for the info. If your a forward scout and you watch some of the games it would be good to get your views on them on a regular basis.

So who did you play for???

Firstly Jonty of course I would love either of those two sides to stumble, secondly St marys rely quite heavily on their spinners and I think a couple of Haig's batsmen might like that. Glenroy are a consistent batting lineup and the washouts effected them as they had made truck loads of runs. If they can keep Babo to a managable score they will go a look way to winning the game especially on cole number 2. Glenroy can bat deep and St Frannies have been inconsistent with the bat around Babo so it's certainly no certainly. I would have thought my tipping on occassions represents both sides playing at their best and what the result would be obviously this isn't always the case though. If I had tipped against St Andrews and yourselves then the bookies would be lining up to take my money no doubt about it. Good luck this week hopefully you get some :D

And to Frontfootnoball, MMVCA has played A grade for as long as I remember and is a quality player and a good bloke and I hope St Marys do do something stupid like drop him because players like him win finals.
What have you everdone mate??
Oh thats right

Haig are a big show against ST Marys with them having a few quality players out this week and Glenroy are a shoe in against st frances because one bowler isnt enough to win you games need support from the other end and he doesnt have any!!!

Your boys a odds on this weekend for sure, even you would be able to play with one hand tied behind your back!! If you lads were to lose this game it would be curtains for the season.

Thanks but fellow cricketers stand up for each other not bag them as you would know of course being the best cricket this comp has ever seen....

Mate cricket is a funny game there is no certanitites in life let alone on a cricket field, they will put there best 11 out there and we will put our best 11 and may the better cricket side win...

Re: mmvca

I'm not sure if they are trying to play games down at St Francis , but their named side for this weeks match does not include Matty Costello or Babo.
If this is correct, then Glenroy would have to be odds on.
