OK JB, you have just confirmed that the problem is with the rotator cuff.
Rest means no bowling or throwing in this instance, as there is pain, this may include the weekend
You need to mobilise the shoulder to ensure it does not seize up; this means you need to move in all planes of movement to the point of pain. Don't go any further in that plane of movement as soon as it hurts but keep moving.
