lol at the meltdowns on BF over the rumour that S.Marsh is replacing Khawaja.
i will be it is no time for a young batsman to make their debut. This day night test is an absolute lucky diphttp://www.news.com.au/sport/cricke...t/news-story/c789f2092947daa08c0c0bfa3032eb84
Rumours now confirmed - S Marsh, J Pattinson & S O'Keefe into the squad of 13 for U Khawaja and M Johnson.
I'd love to be a fly on the wall when the selectors sit down to discuss!
I wonder if they thought the Day / Night test was not the time to chuck a debutant in - be it the young Bancroft or the 26 first class tons experience of Klinger.

With you, being an old broken down bowler i have had these flat batsmens paradises. wheres the test in thatI'm old school, so a bit apprehensive as to what the day/night test holds, but I am in favour anything that makes it a bit harder for batsmen these days.
Shame weather played a part... I thought rain didn't exist in Perth.![]()

Yes I think the day/night Test will make the ball swing around corners under lights... That's if the ball stays in shape.
Won't be surprised if it is a low scoring match.
Night test novelty to be worn off by the second day.
Western Australia XI: Ashton Turner*, Tom Beaton, William Bosisto, Ryan Duffield, Marcus Harris, Josh Inglis, David Moody, Liam O'Connor, Joel Paris, Andrew Tye, Jonathan Wells, Sam Whiteman+ (one to be omitted)
Is that effectively a second eleven?
Quoted because in hindsight it's funny.I wonder what odds the bookies would give on the Kiwis not being able to get past Warner's score as a whole team.
Could we please win a toss today Baz?
