Rivergum obviously the team to beat.
Will be interesting to see how Kolep from socials goes in A Grade.. took out all the awards there.
the rest is unknown on who will be contenders i think
 
im mates with willo and a lot at socials. willo wanted to leave socials the year before, after his old man go the arse as coach. cant blame him. also cant say it was the wrong decision givin Jason the arse. but he stuck around for the year so good on him. on much more money at kp allegedly than ever offered at socials, again from a mate socials paying nowhere near the kanga they were 5 years ago for that b grade flag. I think socials got it wrong, there are concerns on the boy handling a grade there. speaking to a key figure at that club they've been building a tight pay structure so that when they get too the top level again they've got the money in the bank to then spend rather than have fully blown it already. if he aint lying to me theyre a rich rich club. also heard a famous name down there looking to poison the clubs name afte not getting his way

Its local cricket , if people want to leave so be it, its not what it use to be and never will be
 
I agree. clubs cant burn bridges and would be idiotic to. esp with a kid like Williamson, massive family history at the club, juniors there youd want him bacj. better to see a diferent environment sometimes

Have a look at our facebook page chief. last years premiership skipper had a baby. captaincy wasn't a burden he wanted anymore between raising a new son, a still busy business and general family life. Joel brought some outstanding leadership qualities to this club on and off field and would be playing at the club as VC under Dan if it weren't for Dan not being able to commit. Joel was the obvious choice to step into the void. Great cricket brain.

Also read in the other thread some clown spouting that Rex Taylor was 'walking out' -untrue. Played mostly 2s but should be a ones players, lets hope he wants to this year. As for Burfitt and Mick Adams, who knows, love them to stay but if they leave it's a case of 'sick of cricket' most sides lose 2 or 3 players out of their ones each year, it's attrition. Besides, Mick was a mid season bonus walk in, great bloke, handy all rounder but not crisis mode if he doesn't want to play. No drama down at the den. Stable as the club has been since we challenged for A Grade in the 00s.

there are multiple better cricketers in that socials 2s teams than burfitt and adams and id still back in s.newitt to be better than Williamson. say this having played against both newitts, Nicholas, taylor, the sri lankan quick who was injured and the sri lankan keeper after just having a peek at the grand final line up

s newitt passed it and your saying you would rather a 40 year old over a young up and coming player whos made good runs over the past 2 seasons?
D newitt averaged under 7 when he got his chance in the ones 2 years ago, Nicholas feilds in first slip all day after bowling 6 overs and cant chase down a 80 year old let alone a ball. That right there just proves the club is shambles and its gonna end bad for socials for not looking after the young and homegrown players,

Taylor is good enough to play ones he should stand up but looking at stats he never get a go and the Sri Lankans should be playing ones.

You never want to see a club lose players, but Ratnayake in particular will be straight back in the ones, was only playing seconds because he couldn't bowl. Hoping Rex plays ones, he is up to it. The club is doing just fine. Not sure why you'd listen to anyone saying anyone else. We've just won two flags and are doing magnificently laying a base for the future. Financially the club has never been in a better spot. Going to leave it here because I've got no interest in the ugly internet slanging match likely to occur.
