problem with that dickie is that there isnt as much CASH FLOW at the middle of the road teams. thats why they are middle of the road. unfortunate and crap that the comp has 2 teams vying for the premiership, might aswell play the grand final now. at least jack quick is competitive and anyone can beat anyone. some good cricketers in the top teams playing for peanuts

as there are some very good cricketers playing for peanuts in bottom 6 of burland, problem is as you say cash flow, put simply cash flow equals depth, depth equals greater premiership chance

Berak is the form batsman in the competition but the kid is ruffling some old feathers down at main st.

i too have heard this, even to the extent that one old timer suggests that he better bring some mates with him if he stays on as none of the current brigade would be able to put up with him in charge.....
sounds as though the head has swollen after his stellar district 2's career, wait till he makes a park ton...what then??

I think he may have played a few games for Victoria as well but I could be wrong. I wish I could play park cricket like him.

Cotchin, you'd know what size & style jocks he wears! I love how you pretend you don't know all the gritty facts.

As I said in another thread, there are plenty of sycophants (google it) on this forum. Case and point here.

Anyway, whilst I may have your attention, can you answer me this. What's happened to S. Harvey? Wasn't he part of the big Socials trade???

Actually I don't know much... but I do know there are some mid card clubs who do have cash, but the lure of a cheap flag and moderate coin is bigger than good coin and junk players around you.

Has he spoken to you yet? Got an autograph? Maybe you could run a drink out to him sometime this season - that would be a story for the grand kiddies huh?

What about the Druids. Have never paid a cricketer to play. I'd love to know who gets paid at other clubs?

1 O'Brien, Matthew W Holy Trinity 265@ 44.17 Yes if Jack Quick pays
2 Plumpton, David Rosebank 260@ 52.00 Yes
3 Berak, Stefan Camrea Taipans 243@ 40.50 Yes
4 McFedries, Adrain Preston Druids 216@ 30.86 No - why? He's in both lists... Far better than anyone from HT
5 Bubis, John Camrea Taipans 176@ 88.00 Yes Whatever
6 Wickramarathna, Nirmal Keon Park 163@ 32.60 Yes Agree
7 Sampimon, Damien Rosebank 150@ 75.00 No Rumoured not to be, like most from Rosebank, but probably is and should be paid given the poor cricketers in Burland and below who are.
8 Sticca, Marco Preston Baseballers 143@ 23.83 No Agree, too hit and miss, sure he'd be great in Rosebank or Camrea's line-up though
9 Montgomery, Robert W Preston Druids 141@ 20.14 No Nuggety red head from the Druids. Would be worthy of coin given he keeps well
10 Jesensek, Alex Camrea Taipans 141@ 35.25 Yes Whatever

Bowlers
1 Lancaster, Jason Preston Baseballers 16@7.25 Yes Agree
2 Perera, Chamil Camrea Taipans 14 @11.93 No You know he is and plenty!
3 Fellows, Anthony Camrea Taipans 13@11.46 No "See Jesensek and Boobis'
4 McFedries, Adrain Preston Druids 12 @18.67 No 4th on both lists - worthy of coin
5 O'Neill, Michael Holy Trinity 11@14.64 No If coin is paid he deserves some
6 McGann, Jason Camrea Taipans 12@7.45 Yes Whatever
7 Plumpton, David Rosebank 11@20.18 Yes He's on the payroll, but whats with the average, he use to bowl at half this
8 Larsen, G Rosebank 11@12.00 Yes Agree - underbowled
9 Bamford, Paul Preston Baseballers 10@16.50 No Back from the brink - doing very well. Would route Jack Quick sides - therefore should be paid if they are paying players
10 Nishantha, Pradeep Northcote United 9@16.78 No Definitely on coin,. NUCC's youth policy has evolved

have a go.....opinions????

Tough post to reply to. Not the questions, more so the method of responding. Not that simple!

Proves there are heaps of good players in Burland who could chase $$$ given that JQ sides are paying up.

Barry Parks is the most inspiring and best cricketer ive ever played under he played one year of A grade mate JIKA you cant measure his form in one season of A Grade maybe if you look at his HDCA history that will put you back into that box you came out of!

you obviously do not know what you are talking about, i'm quite sure even bazza himself would not say he was in the top bracket of HDCA cricketers, I believe he played mostly for Olympic Colts who were no good in that comp.
Neither was he in the top grades, I think he did well in the lower grades.

**Just for your info, I spoke with A grade umpire in HDCA who has been around for over 15 years, I asked him how did Barry Parks go in your comp?? and he said Barry Who??? Who did he play for???

Be inspired all you want, he may be an inspirational person, you dont have to play cricket to be one of them......that wasnt the argument, as for best cricketer, thats your opinion....wait until you step up a grade and see if you still say that.
It was mentioned there are better players in Quick than the lists I put up, well....who are they??? and who are they better than???
