you'll be ok duckyboy being starstruck is only temporary

I'm starstruck now am i.........

I'm not the one commenting about them on other forums and following there every move.

Maybe they should put a restraining order aaginst you:D

Your missing my whole point as usual and keep trying to bring it back to a Rosebank and Camrea thing and you reckon i'm starstruck.....gimme a break

I'll Say it again and see if you could understand it this time round.

The point i'm making has nothing to do with Rosebank or Camrea it's about the incompitence at BOARD level and MY comp the NMCA is dying and if you pull your head out of your arse and stop focusing on the power clubs and look at the bigger picture then just maybe then you'll understand that in 3 years i(don't know if you play at all) will be playing in the worst park level competition. That is because 1 man is stuffing OUR comp right up.
So get over your magnetism.

OPEN YOUR FRIGGIN EYES. LOOK AHEAD TO THE FUTURE OF THIS COMP NOT BACK BECASUE YOU'LL GET HIT WITHOUT EVEN KNOWING IT.

Good to see that Rosebank can't win the "A" Grand Final in NMCA, so they pack up and go to comp where they will, hey.
The HDCA should start printing up the trophies for the GF winners now for the top 3 grade. Rosebank 1st XI, Rosebank 2nd XI & Rosebank 3rd XI.

What an absolute joke!!!!!!!!!

Now far be it for me to stand up for Rosbank but I think they have they won 6 A grade flags in the last 9 years. And havent there top 3 grades won premierships in the same year? I am just stating facts on this forum!!!

tell me your thoughts on the following

1/ why is the board imcompetent?

Becasue they keep changing the rules as they go. They restructured the comp and we still have teams 1's v teams 2's and 3's and teams 2's v teams 3's or 4ths. There are too many clubs. They don't stick by the cricket vic rules full stop. Calling games off at 10am when it clearly states wait till 12. Then playing in dangerous conditions to suit his mates. The pres reporting people while watching a game and changing that rule to suit himself.

2/ why do you think rosebank left??
No Idea. From what i'm hearing they have had enough of being targeted and playing in a comp where the pres does what he likes and doesn't stick to the actual rules in place.

3/ why do you think the comp is stuffed??
Beacuse we loose Rosebank this year, Camrea next, Trinity want out other clubs are unhappy then what kind of standard are we left with????
Why is the Board so keen to merge with HDCA if in your mind the comp is alive and thriving????
Lalor want to merge with west lalor not enough good players to play against that is my main concern.

There you go now go and put whatever spin you want on it but is this Board gonna look to replace rosebank...

you said there are too many clubs and you want the board to replace rosebank?? that don't make sense

Trinity came on here and said they are going nowhere.

i'm not sure how you can say the comp is dying and say one of the reasons is we have too many clubs???

not having good enough players to play against, that ebbs and flows in every competition over time

anyway interesting opinions, losing a club or two no matter how successful is far from the end

I just heard the news that Rosebank are leaving. What the hell?? How will someone fill the gaping hole. They will leave a void in the comp. So they paid there players, who could care less anyway. I am angry because we wont be able to play against a strong club with excellent players, even though I dont really get along with one or two guys over there.
Re: the above points made by Northmetroboy, I reckon they left because of the board, especially one individual, from what I have heard.
As for Incompetent: I say 1. heatrule during the year. 2. Constant rule changes. 3. The massive stuff with the umpires hence, 16 of them are leaving. 4. No show by any board member at the one day A grade final.. 5. GF reporting/Tribunal debacle of participants.7. the nmca are desperate to merge with hdca as we all now realise that nmca are on there knees and one club will completely dominate. 8. Prelim Final in only the top 3 grades.9. From what I see and hear, One board member has far too much control/power in the comp.etc etc etc etc. Need I go on.

Get rid of clubs that offer the nmca nothing apart from clogging up spots.

Kingsbury, Footballers, dennis, olympic colts, reservior mayston, Cameron and YCW should merge.
Look to try and get another power club from another comp.
I don't want Rosebank replaced with friggin Cameroon!!!!!!!!!!

Duckman dont agree with ya comments at all above in regards to not going on the board thats a fair enough excuse time is proberbly the biggest thing ( maybe have a think about how much time these people put into running the comp and not being paid for it except Bill )

In regards to the running of the comp well I dont agree with all the decisions been made by the board but I do say my part the right way ( well most of the time ) I dont think anyone on the board can say the comp had the best year a couple of decisions just didnt turn out for the good ..........
Do I really think these things contributed to the exit of rosebank well of course but is it a reason to leave is the question !

Presume you arent from any of the clubs above ..... May we ask what club you represent here do you hold a committee position at your club ?

Sure its fine voicing your opinion at the board im just not sure this is the best way of doing on a forum here, maybe a drafted letter to the board then they can take your concerns seriously !

Re: NMCA(formerly Jika) '08/'09

True bigman people can have a crack at the board but everyone who has a go at them has the oppurtunity to put there hand up and go on it and try to correct some of the wrongs they believe have been done but you know as well as i do they wont put there hands up to do it . Far easier to criticise than to get there hands dirty. Now leonard has a theory on the departure of Rosebank and it is that Rosebank departing is phase one of a 3 stage plan by HDCA Stages 2 and 3 are that Camrea and Holy Trininty will be following. Any Thoughts???????

Camrea couldnt possibly go to the HDCA, it's too far away....but I would have thought Rosebank was too, so who knows....more likely to include a raid on Trinity, Baseballers, Socials, Fairfield and Northcote United due to location....didnt baseballers almost end up there recently???

I'm from Keon Park.

I'll say it agian. Just becasue i'm not on the board or don't agree with there decisions does not mean i or anyone else can't pass judgment on them. They are not imune from crictisism. My club has already spoke to the board on numerous occasions regarding the bizare rule changes time and time again.

What vision does the NMCA have for the next 5 years because it aint on it's website?????

I'm gonna watch this space and see if Bill will be pro active and try to lure a power club or will he still wanna take the easy option and try for a merger with North West now that the HDCA don't want a bar of us.

Ask yourself this question and see what answer you come up with.
If the NMCA is thriving and alive and the Board is doing such a fantastic job then why are they so keen to merge with the HDCA who don't?????????

Do you still think the board is running this comp well??????

I've been told, by people I trust, that Rosebank approached the HDCA - not vice versa. The HDCA does not have a master plan to poach a number of NMCA clubs. Even if this was so, Camrea would not be a good 'fit' for our comp - purely because of location and nothing else.

I find it amusing that people on here are critical of Rosebank for seeking a change - for what they believe will be for the better. It is extremely narrow minded to think that because they were unsuccessful(for their standards) this year, they would decide to leave in a huff. After all, I think you will find that they have been considering this move for a number of years.

Another point, good luck to Rosebank if they come over and dominate. Knowing the fabric of clubs such as Banyule, Heidelberg, Rosanna, Edinburgh, etc it will only make them more determined to face up to and overcome the challenge of a club like Rosebank.

Finally, many on here blame Bill for the departure of one of, if not your most powerful club. The board may have had something to do with this, however from what I've been lead to believe, the tall-poppy syndrome of others bashing those who strive for success, has had a huge bearing on their decision to leave. They expect to play good hard competitive cricket and then be able to walk off the ground and have a cold beer and a good chat with some good blokes. I can gaurantee that this will happen, regardless of whether or not they are dominating our comp.

Now leonard has a theory on the departure of Rosebank and it is that Rosebank departing is phase one of a 3 stage plan by HDCA Stages 2 and 3 are that Camrea and Holy Trininty will be following. Any Thoughts???????

I've been told, by people I trust, that Rosebank approached the HDCA - not vice versa. The HDCA does not have a master plan to poach a number of NMCA clubs. Even if this was so, Camrea would not be a good 'fit' for our comp - purely because of location and nothing else.

I find it amusing that people on here are critical of Rosebank for seeking a change - for what they believe will be for the better.
