Gladdy Boy....put me in for tips!!!


Hey everyone, round 1 and everyone is very keen to play!!

Match previews:

One day games, the games we all love and hate!

Its going to be hard to pick a winner early in the season, i believe teams have withold plenty of info, and picking a winner for the first 3 rounds will be tough! But here i go anyway

CCC vs RP:
If there is any truth to the rumors of injuries at CCC, than i believe they will have some difficulty dismissing RP. Underman line-up is not ideal, everyone would love to go in near full strength. I dont know much about RP, but i would think CCC would blow RP away in this match, Hasan and the bowlers are strong, and a batting attack witch could be depleted, should still get the runs. My advise, CCC...bowl first, and chase runs!...........MY TIP: CCC

KGG vs BP:
If the practice match between these twom teams is anything to go by, than BP will win. I have word that KGG were not at full strength, Rogo not playing, Catania not really bowling, and a word that they have recruited well with a few guys from a VTCA club. Rogo and Lampolus (rambo) will make plenty this season, Catania will bat this year, bowling will be limited. If the rumor is true with these recruits, than KGG will win, but winning form is good form, so BP are in with a chance. Erdman and Telford to make plenty this year, but going to find it tough doing it alone, Mosicak (sorry on spelling) and Wallace to pitch in here and there! Bowling stocks for both sides is realtively unknown, apart from the similar names from last year....MY TIP: KGG

PVC vs GP:
Likely these two teams to be the most consistant this year. Trips to take plenty of wickets, and Hare to make plenty of runs. GP appear to have too much fire power on ability. Shep and Markham, Milne and Cammers, plenty of run scoring options. Bowling i believe will be slightly weakend this year from GP, but still going to have a solid attack. Hard to say much about these sides, cause its really unknown.....MY TIP: PVC

Not much known from there, Wilson has retired, Mulholland also, Lorimer still going around. Few 50/50 players likely to play in the 2nds this week to put there name into selection for round 2.


Not the best review, give me a couple of weeks for the season to settle, than ill have my head around the season! I wasnt far off last year with my predicitions!

This term gun bat, is he the guy that bats at 3 and makes 500 runs or is he the guy that comes in at 7 and makes 275 including 4 half tons,in quick time and wins you 3 games off his own bat?
or is he the guy that bats at 5 and holds down one end and ends up on 30 or 40 not out while the stroke makers score around him?
or is he ther guy who bats at 9 and makes 180 runs at an average of 20 and never throws his wicket away?
You teams out there this season that have a couple of gun bats good luck to you and we will see just how you all go.
Give me that no 7 and no5 and no9 as i have mentioned and we will win more games than we lose!!
Keep your guns and we,ll breed 4 or 5 bats with a bit of ticker and love playing for the club.

oldman65 what can i say . with your wish list you guys are absolute specials to win flag .
from above forecast you guys will make in the vicinity of 3500 runs for the season , along the way smashing the all time season team record .

not bad for a team that has made 200 plus runs only cpl times in the last 5 years .
with the current format ( 7 plus one day games ) the above is near impossible , for any team , let alone you guys .

from last season records , gladdy made approx. 3000 plus runs last season . markham 600-700 , shep 500-600 , camaleri 400-500.
are there 3 bats that are capable of making these type of numbers at ccc ?

once again , its not how many , but when you make them .

you guys have a good batting team and will make finals , no doubt . but to get those type of number as per your entry , impossible .

no lakers in comp , go buckley park .

will make finals and push for top 2 .

2 blokes last year 400+ would look to increase to 450+
3 blokes last season all 250+ would look to increase to 300+
Couple of handy pickups 1 capable of 400 + 1 will be 300+
Thats 2500 runs if all goes well and that does not include a couple of handy bats who had poor seasons last year.
Looking to go 1 better than last year and make finals and who knows from there?
200 runs a couple of times in the last 5 years, check mycricket and i am fairly sure me made 200+ on more than 5 occasions and a couple of were well over which is not bad considering we only played 6 2day games.

Dont worry about Campbellfield champ if you blokes never had markham 700+or thomas 400+ and a couple of wickets you blokes would have finished behind us the last couple of seasons.

i like your review off the games there is just one batsmen you have left out from buckley park it will mostlikely make more runs than any off there batsmen for the year andrew tipping

yeh im the same weapons...im just an average player but love the game.
will b interesting 2 c how tipping goes - it all depends on whether he is serious and how he comes up from a long spell haha. still think buckley mit struggle against top few teams but will b there abouts dont worry about that.

both comps have good players and strong clubs this is waste of time this arguement.But i will say if you are good player and want to kick on you need to start playing turf thats a fact no one can argue.

Gladyboy by far the most honest cricketer in the comp....you know what Im talking about Buckley Park.

Glady Pacoe cancelled due to hole in Paccoes pitch game being replayed next Sunday, 5 games to tip on next week.

Well this is the first time I know of a game being rescheduled in this comp. When did we start having emergency days on Sundays.
Gladdy Boy do you know if this was moved by the NWCA, the Umps or the clubs.

Don't know any scores. Out of town at the momemnt. Friend at PVC told me about their game being called off.

Tipping round 1 I am only counting the 2 games and PV gp can be retipped this week a weeks a long time in cricket and to fair we get a few back

wow wot a win by ccc - even though they beat a very ordinary team.
good win by bp.
weapons....not sure which grades players played in but i believe patchy is a 2nds player.
we r in 4 a very exciting season boys....in all grades.
